Okay, thanks for the feedback. How many boards did you buy from the Oudini AliExpress store and how many failed?

I bought 2 MB. Received 5 of them, 4 MB out of 5 received failed (3 completely, 1 partially working but failed on proper charging = not usable for every day use). Last MB received two weeks ago works now as a home media player.

Ouch, that's a really bad. So the Oudini boards have not fixed the bootloop issue and are basically useless?

Did you buy the motherboard from the Ouidini Store? I received mine a few days ago (which has been fine so far) but there are reports above of the Ouidini boards also boot looping. This is a pain because I asked the seller if they were "bootloop resistant". I guess I should have expected that answer.

Is the replacement board still working @dinindourden?

How many Ouduni motherboards died in total one282? Have they given you any refunds or only replacement boards? Did you have to send the old boards back?

I think it would be a really good idea to leave a 1-star follow-up review on AliExpress to let other potential buyers know. I recently bought one because of the great reviews; if I had known these issues I wouldn't have.
So far so good. It has been two weeks since I received it, and works flawlessly. It can even be unlocked properly.
I will report if something goes wrong.

Hope you will be lucky guys. Last MB works OK as well. But when thinking about a lot of issues I had with all MBs, additional costs for sending MB back to China, I will definitely say good bye to any further broken device and buy a new one without hesitations.
It is not worth spending time and money for uncertain product.

I have damaged around 10 Motherboards of Nexus 5x LG G4 and LG G3 when trying to perform the rework of the SoC and unfortunately I have damaged them, now I am thinking about ordering new CPUs and RAM and repairing all the ones I have damaged, I think it would be cheaper order to order new SoC to buy Motherboards from Oudini

Just mounted my upgraded motherboard and very pleased to see everything works perfectly... until i realised I got a locked bootloader. Everytime I unlock it, it relocks at reboot... so still able to install custom recovery and roms but no more root unfortunately...
For those interested, here is the link to the store : Dealer&Conscience Store

Thank you for the link though I already knew it. It can be a workaround but only to have root on an official build unfortunately. As I'm using the Pixel² ROM the forced encryption is already disabled but still I can't manage to have root access. I've tried both SuperSu and Magisk but I get stuck on the home screen asking me my PIN. Each time I enter it I get a black screen and the home screen reappears. I don't know if it's ROM related or ROOT related. I should try with another ROM to confirm.

Yesterday I received the motherboard 4gb + 32gb bought on aliexpress from Dealer&Conscience Store and I'm happy to say that everything work fine! I tested all sensors, cpus, amount of ram.
The android version pre-installed was 6.0 with unlocked bootloader.
I had no problems to install twrp and flash another rom.
The system run considerably more smoothly!! :)
I hope it continues to work..

Finally got root access and a custom kernel ! Had to format the data, re-upload all I needed (ROM, kernel and super user) then install Magisk and the kernel immediately after the ROM (so before any reboot) otherwise I was still stuck at the home screen.

I've read the whole thread, but I didn't get if there is anyone that got also the SoC replaced in addition to @Cathair2906 by shipping the mobo to repair center.
I'm asking because I've a mobo with the bootloop problem and I was thinking to ship it to the guy to perform the SoC and RAM upgrade

Happarently no one of the aliexpress seller is doing the CPU swap in addition to the RAM upgrade. The shenzen guy only repair broken mobo or also sells modded mobo ?

Instead of getting a CPU swap I would recommend buying a 4gb replacement motherboard from Oudini on AliExpress. It cost about $100 shipped and has been working perfectly for 2 months already.

My Nexus 5x was bought last year from Hong Kong and got a bootloop issue just after the warranty :crying: So far, i know google has known this issue and there is a recall in US, Korean LG has offered a unlimited warranty to this bootloop issue. However, LG customer center from Hong Kong has rejected any maintenance of the cpu if outside its warranty

Thereafter, i decided to send my 5x to China for CPU fixing, as the RAM is packed with the CPU together, the guy suggested me upgrading it to 3 or 4 GB RAM. That's how the 4GB RAM 5X comes out. :D

I've tested the OTA works fine from 6.0.1 to 7.1.1, all functions works fine too. :highfive:

    How does it work? #106

Since i posted this post, i learnt something about the CPU from 5x, and how can it be upgraded, let me explain to you guys first. :highfive:

The packaging technique of 5x is using PoP, or package on package, which the processor package has pads on the top for the RAM chip and BGA on the bottom to attach to the PCB, its saves board space at the expense of assembly cost. This simply means the RAM sits on top of the SoC.

As fixing this bootloop issue, you have to remove the whole SoC+RAM block, so why not upgrade the RAM chip together?

Thanks RO.maniac has provided the information of the repair shop #241, if you are going to contact him, please do communicate in CHINESE!!!

Just talked to the dude on WeChat, he confirmed RMB400 for CPU reflow and 4GB RAM upgrade.

I also made sense of his address in somewhat of an international format:
    Mr. Huang Jinhui
Yuanwang Digital Mall, 1st floor 1065
    HuaQiang North Road
    Shenzhen, Futian District, HuaQiang North
    518000 Guangdong
    People's Republic of China

    WeChat ID: 784439978
    Phone number: 15919836083

I will ship my other N5X first thing on Monday with the Romanian National Post Service. I will keep you updated, as soon as is gets to China. In like 2 weeks. :)

Later edit: That shipping never happened. Exams and some poor money management sucked me dry of time and cash for a while. I will probably resume this some time in fall.

*Payment seems to be a problem since it would be done through WeChat Wallet that isn't available outside of China. Even if we make it pop up in the app by changing the language to Chinese, I'm having a hard time believing that it would support our variety of bank accounts and cards.
So this is put to bed for some time...

**Another method would consist of purchasing the BGA Reballing stencils from Aliexpress and then finding a local shop that specializes in BGA Reballing for various chips and let them do it. It may be more expensive than the Chinese way and you're stuck with the existing 2GB of RAM, but I find it more convenient.
