[4th August 2014] List of all problems for Xperia Z

hi ^^
i've now also the xperia Z.
i flashed the new original Rom from sony via "Sony PC Companion".


i've 2 Little Problems (for now ;P):

1) how i can dissable "First letter uppercase"?
i turned off all autocorrectoptions but it allways do the first letter uppercase ... annoying -.-

2) i cant connect to a hidden WiFi


does someone have a solution or hint for me?

look harder in language and input, you can disable auto uppercase
and hidden wifi i think needs to be directly entered? :S

i searched all Options in "Laguage and Input" but no Option to disable auto-uppercase

the wifi-problem:
i manualy entered SSID and Password

i have activated STAMINA (at battery 15%) and "Location-based WiFi"

another Problem i found:

if i connect the Xperia with my pc over WiFi it connects but i cant copy files onto the phone. i tried sync with WinAmp and it worked, but copy files with windows-explorer brakes connection with phone and stops copy

strange issue with my xz, honour to have this phone , I'm pretty sure that you guys are listening to music through headphone, so am I, but there is a strange problem.. I usually skip the song through my headset button (whatsoever it is), it works only for 2 skips and then when I try to skip it just get stopped :/ anyone having this issue ? :crying:

Use headset button controller app from play store..

Initially I thought it was a shortcut to goto Google search, but it only works in the camera app, so I think it's a bug.

sometimes my xperia z show that the SD has been removed .. it happend alot when i tried to root it.

but also happens suddenly any one having the same issue here ?

I also have the problem of my Z randomly removing my SD card (bad removal) when I try to read it (watch movies, listen to music). After the Z finding the card again it works fine.

Quite annoying actually.

My 64gb memory card gets unmounted unexpectedly randomly, maybe once or twice a day when I am using the phone.

Mine too. I thought my SD card / Z was broken. I think it's software related.

I get this when I take an HDR backlit photo and then try and open it whilst it is processing. Need to restart the phone to get the SD back.

Download WiFi Analyzer from store.
That app will show all wifi SSID around you. Easly can select anyone, even hidden ones.

With this utility i've changed wifi channel of my own. So can get better signal strengh and quality.

App will suggest best channel for you.

Black Dots in Camera

Had the same problem here. block spot on camera sensor. Please help how to fix this problem please?

My camera had already 8 black dots, that keep moving from one place to another, i can only assume its dust on the inside of the camera lens, as i already cleaned the outside of the camera. I already send it to sony for repairs, but didn't say what is creating this....

But mysteriously my Z can connect now to hidden networks, but i don't installed "WiFi Analyser".
Don't know why it works now XD


But now my main problem is this stupid auto uppercase. It makes me crazy :-/

Display/construction problem

Hello, I have problem with display or with construction because when I press left side of phone exactly from lower left corner to dock connector, on display make spot(blur) or something like that. Sony failed me. I send it to sony 2 times but they said it is OK.
Im from Slovakia. Im sorry for my english.

Xperia Z Repair Service in Milan

Today i bruoght mi Z to the best Service center in Milan. I found one dead pixel and a little hole in the camera ccd sensor that made all the photos whit this little "mark".
I pray that assistance will change the panel, even if for only one dead pixel.

Charging-port broke

Hee guys, i am wondering if im the only one with this problem, but the little 'pin' inside of the charging port of my Xperia Z broke.
Now you guys must understand im really carefull with my stuff: I still use my Iphone 3g that i purchased on the release (no problems with that phone), and my Nexus S that i purchased about 2 years ago has had no problems.

I send it back to t-mobile, and there (suprice) telling me its user-damage. I really think the charging port was simply not made that well, since i dont understand how i could break a device that im so carefull with.
