This was taken from stock Note4 ANIE. Has been tested on other variants and is working well.
If you are running TW 4.4.4 give it a shot. But please, please do a backup or install with the manual method.

12/14 Tested/Working on NK2

Tired of losing 1/4 of the screen... Me too. This uses all of the real estate.
Sorry I have to shrink the screen shot so much..

5x5 Home has 1 more grid in Hot Seat as well
Downloads:
You can temporarily get from post until I fix Download link issues.

Installation Instructions (Flashing)
Always make a backup before flashing this or anything else
1) Download zip and put on SD card.
2) Reboot recovery. Choose install zip from SD.
3) Navigate to zip file and flash
4)Reboot and enjoy. No need to wipe anything

Installation Instructions (Manual):
1)Download any other launcher from playstore. (Just in case)
2)Download zip and unzip. Put apk (and odex file if odexed) on SD card
3)Use root explorer. Go to system/priv-app. Find TouchWizHome.apk. RENAME to TouchWizHome.apk.bak (odex.bak for odex)
4) Copy apk (and odex) from SD to system/priv-app. Change permissions rw-r-r
7) Reboot

If you have an issue, or you don't like it, just delete modded apk and rename .bak back to TouchWizHome.apk and you will be back to stock

Worked a treat, don't have to use Multicon as much, actually using it now with the 5 x 5 layout it'd be possible to have 225 icons on one screen, LOL, instead of the measly 144 that used to be available.

Apart from the increase in icon density, another bonus is you can now have 5 shortcuts in the taskbar, love this mod.

There are a few caveats I think adopters should be aware of though, at least this is how it's acting on my setup, YMMV:
* when it first initiates it only has 3 home screens, so if you have more than that it's best you add the extra home screens on first boot, then reboot right away, you'll then find your layouts restored (maybe it could be tweaked to give the max of 6 home screens up front, then this workaround wouldn't be needed).
* If installed using Method 1 (Flashing), no backup of the original TouchWizHome.apk is made, stupid me used that method before even reading the second one, otherwise I would've made a manual backup first.
* Dragging a shortcut/icon down to the ghosted mini home screens along the bottom no longer works to do a quick jump between screens, you have to bump against the side to navigate between screens now, slow and error prone if you have to traverse several screens.
* The Samsung Widgets will start using 5 x (1 or 2) instead of the previous 4 x (1 or 2), if they're already on the home screen before the change though, you can keep the original dimensions, so it's a good idea to create any widgets up front if you want them to be sized only 4 wide rather than 5 wide.

The first screenshot shows the widget 5 wide, and the second 4 wide.

no it's just a screenshot from the launcher of note 3 with 6x6
I tried to follow this guide (this is for the S3 but there are small differnces only):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...iz-homeapp-t1691957/post27433971#post27433971
when I arrived at step 24 I had the error:

i use buildprop editor to change dpi 640==>520 but it's better to change also the number of icon in touchwiz.
