I looked a couple of pages back but didn't find an answer. Sorry in advance if this was answered already.
Is the bluetooth usable in this version for streaming music?

Regarding the short guide in the first post, at step 6 is says, Flash the boot.img via fastboot (Only if you are S-ON)

do i need to unzip the cm-12-20141205-UNOFFICIAL-m7 file and grab the boot.img from that and place that on my HTC ONE or do i just skip step 6 and jump to step 7 as im getting a failed message when trying to install the cm-12-20141205-UNOFFICIAL-m7 zip file?

Open cm-12-20141205-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip in a zip manager like 7zip and drag the boot.img that you see to your desktop, then fastboot flash it, then install rom. Profit

Ok, i now appear to be stuck on the Entering Recovery white screen with the HTC logo. Here the steps ive taken...

1. Download the ROM and GApps then transfer to internal memory
2. Reboot into Recovery Mode
3. Make a backup of your current ROM
4. Make a Full Wipe (System / Data / Cache / Dalvik)
5. Grabbed the Boot.img file from inside the cm-12-20141205-UNOFFICIAL-m7 file.
6. Placed the Boot.img into my ADB & Fastboot folder on my PC
7. Opened up command prompt and navigated to the ADB & fastboot folder and typed, 'fastboot flash recovery Boot.img'
8. Given this message.....

target reported max download size of 1514139648 bytes
sending 'recovery' (6464 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.019s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.607s]
finished. total time: 1.631s

9. Tried to enter recovery mode but phone freezes on the 'Entering Recovery....' screen

Any ideas what the issue may be, do i need to reinstall TWRP again??

There is/was a bug. Don't know if it exist yet, but it was found out that Poweramp e.g. never had a problem to stream music through bluethooth ;)
L

Yeah i know I was the one that found out that Poweramp had no problem :p.
But i also need TuneIn and Deezer to work before i make it my daily . Last version i tried with no success was 12.3, so has anyone tried with the newest?

Bluetooth sound is working without a problem on the GPE L, but on the other hand GPE Lollipop seems to be a mix of Ice-cream Sandwich and L rather than pure android L. Its so ugly with the black non transparent status bar and the Black app drawer that makes no sense whatsoever...

Update: Tested it with the newest version and bluetooth sound is still not working.

Just flashed this rom (12/5)last night. So far, it has been really smooth and stable. :good:
The only problem I have is the miscellaneous battery drain that people seem to be having.
The thing is, even with the battery drain , I'm still getting better or similar battery life like when I was on ARHD 82.
Tomorrow I'll test out how the battery is with my WiFi turned off the whole day.

@xsaver23 I wonder if anyone here ever has touched onto the miscellaneous thing and read the description about what it is?
Because I also have that and the description says:
"It's the difference between the calculated and real power consumption".

It's gonna be better without the WiFi. I read an article yesterday on AndroidAuthority that WiFi should now be left on and normally won't cause as much power drain, but I can see quite a difference with my phone.

Also, use greenify (unless you rely heavily on notifications from FB & games).

Use BetterbatteryStats and I've found the Misc. "bug" really isn't a super issue. I think Lollipop just has a very generic & brief synopsis of what is really eating the battery. A good program will show you specifically the breakdown. It also takes a few days after flashing and 3 or 4 full discharge / charge cycles to get the real stats. If you dirty flash every few days, you aren't getting a realistic measurement of the ROM.

Make no SENSE... appropriate, lol

Well I think that answers my question about this CM build vs GPE. I'm staying with this one. I use nova launcher and can verify that google launcher has nothing to do with the status bar. Pure Lolli looks fantastic with any launcher.

Trying to flash the latest build, but I get this error:
Code:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_
unmount of /system failed; no such volume
E: Error executing updater binary in zip
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm-12-20141205-UNOF...
I'm on:
TWRP: v2.6.3.3
HBOOT: 1.44.0000
S-OFF

Any clue why it won't install?

    An early Taste of Lollipop...

Thought i would share some self compiled CM12 builds at least until Nightlies begin to appear in the coming weeks
I know some folks even prefer it in it's earlier stages of an OS update, as it tends to be more stock"aosp" like at that time.
Anyhow, i hope you enjoy it as is for now, though it appears quite stable.
All basic functions should be intact. But DO expect there to be bugs. This is an early build.
Credits of course go to the CM Team and Maintainers for all their hard work and Flyhalf for his input. :good:

Please do not post self-compiled builds in my thread.
Feel free to start your own thread, or make a user-compiled thread if that's what is desired.
I have no problems with anxious users who can't wait for me to compile my next one and they want to make their own.
But if everyone who does that posts their builds in my thread, it's no longer my thread at that point and I see no need for me to continue or try and support it.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in this regard.

    Bluetooth issues are well known!
Please do not post about them or ask if it's fixed.
I will let you know and the subject has been beaten to death!

Official CM12 Nightlies can now be found here: LINK

    Download Current Unofficial Build:

    Unofficial CM12 m7 01-05-15

OTA updates are going to come as latest Official Kitkat CM11 build from CM Team, not Unofficial CM12 Lollipop from me.
Do not install OTA updates on this, flash them from the OP here only.

    Lollipop Gapps:
    *Updated

    PA Gapps

    Santod Mods Gapps

DO NOT FLASH with any encryption active!
These are Unofficial builds, compiled by me, the day of posting.
You understand that neither I, the CM Team, nor XDA are responsible for anything that happens to your device.

    Install procedure:

I use TWRP 2.7.1.2 for install
    1. Download the ROM and GApps then transfer to internal memory
    2. Reboot into Recovery Mode
    3. Make a backup of your current ROM
    4. Make a Full Wipe (System / Data / Cache / Dalvik)
    5. Flash the boot.img via fastboot (Only if you are S-ON)
    6. Select Install, browse to the location of the downloaded ROM
    7. Select the zip of the ROM, Flash the Rom
    8. Select the GApps zip, Flash the Gapps
    9. Once installation is complete, restart
    10. Profit!
    11. See post #2 about first boot and #3 regarding Root!

    I hope you enjoy! :good:

    Old Builds:

Please keep in mind, this is an unofficial build, some things may not work or have not yet been added.
So don't expect all the old customizations. This is currently much closer to stock android.
