Mine tired to do an update while I was sleeping I guess. Came back to it and it said there wasn't enough space to download the update. I did a reset, but no update yet.
Maybe you only got the 4.4w.1 to 4.4w.2 patch?Hi,
Am I missing something?
I got the update yesterday evening but my watch doesn't seem to update. On my phone, a Note 3, I have Android wear 1.0.5.1630507 but on my watch it's still 4.4.w.2.
I have restarted, reset and re-whatever possible the watch; I have rebooted my phone and even uninstalled and reinstalled Wear on the phone but nothing changes: 1.0.5. on the phone, 4.4.2 on the watch...

I too had terrible freezes and choppiness after update. I had to uninstall Wear Mini Launcher...it did not play nice with 5.0.1.I am getting android wear freezes and much lag with 5.0.1 update. I forced the update by resetting the watch, unpairing it from my g3, and uninstalling wear companion app.
I will try uninstalling Wear Mini Launcher too. I am not getting good battery life either. It dropped 10% overnight while in airplane mode, screen off, and muted.....I too had terrible freezes and choppiness after update. I had to uninstall Wear Mini Launcher...it did not play nice with 5.0.1.
Also almost all the custom watch faces, like my favorite Pujie Black, do not go into Dim Mode and seem buggy. Most devs are working on fix.
Basically all the custom watch face apps like Facer/Watchmaker have been using undocumented APIs and ugly hacks to get stuff displayed on the watch. Now that Google has introduced an official watch face API, once devs update their apps we'll be good to go. Gotta be patient.I will try uninstalling Wear Mini Launcher too. According to this, Google didn't give many Devs early access to the update and not giving them long to fix their code. But, Google did warn not to hack for watch faces in the first place. So, we were all playing at our own risk.Basically all the custom watch face apps like Facer/Watchmaker have been using undocumented APIs and ugly hacks to get stuff displayed on the watch. I just did the same thing and I'm getting the update!I am getting android wear freezes and much lag with 5.0.1 update. I forced the update by resetting the watch, unpairing it from my g3, and uninstalling wear companion app.
Now that I'm updated, I see this star on my dimmed watch screen. What's up with the star? And how do I get rid if it?

Make sure to download the wear app from the play store. Whenever I installed the newer apk I wouldn't get the update.Just saw a YouTube clip, I think this I a feature. If you pull down from the top of the display you will see som options. A star means you will get notifications from you favorits only, that's what I think anyway. Don't have this update myself ....yet.

I've tried that and still no update for me.
for me..it bring a lot of improvement and i am really loving this fw 5.0.1..the watch face is like additional excitement...the most useful function for me is:The newest version of Wear is an improvement but I'm disappointed it doesn't go further.
What about multiple home screens and widgets?
Why can't I choose the order my apps appear in?
Why isn't there more control over the notifications I receive? There is some but should be more.
