After I got the 5.0 update, my watch screen will turn off and wont turn on unless I press the crown. The watchfaces aren't going into their dim mode, it just turns off. I verified the settings and "Always On" is checked. I have had to reset the watch twice to get it working again. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Looks like you have theater mode on. Swipe down, then swipe left until you find theater mode and turn it off.

I noticed significantly shorter battery life as well. I restarted the watch and hopefully it will improve. So far, I'm really unimpressed by this update. I was hoping that they allowed more control and would expand the "music on watch" feature. Instead, it looks like they just streamlined everything we already had.

I am having similar issues where my watch faces are not going to dim mode.

Trying your method now.

Edit: Nope... my purchased watch faces do not go in dim mode.

Star

Now that I'm updated, I see this star on my dimmed watch screen. What's up with the star? And how do I get rid if it?
That is the symbol for having your phone in silent/respond to select input mode. Like the one you can now find on lollipop in the sound slider, or when pushing volume down again after having silenced the phone in KitKat.

Anyone noticed poorer battery life?
Nope, mine dropped from around 2% to 1.6% so an improvement.

Now I got mine upgrade, got it after a reset of my watch. Don't know if it was a coincidence. Really like this upgrade, my clock feels smoother now.

you mean when you want to start the google music instead of spotify> have you try configure in android wear which music player to start from your phone? you have an option to configure that..

yea i went to the setting on the app but the only options i get is for "Open music on phone" or "Google Play". i want to be able to use spotify but i suspect i cant yet as when playing spotify there is no way to change playlists etc until they release a proper gui interface for it.

leekeene: there is an app called Wear Music Control that lets you change songs etc with Spotify on your phone.
You need to start Spotify on your phone first though but then you can play, pause, change songs and so on. It is still very basic but better than none.

The update has halved my battery...

Anyone noticed poorer battery life?
Yes, my battery barely lasts 8 hours with a full charge. Unplugged it at 9 AM (CET) and by 10.30 AM (CET) am down at 85% with little/moderate use.
Before update battery would still be at 100% by that time and go to 99% at Noon.

Guessing it's got something to do with apps like Mini Launcher constantly juicing in bk.

Also, vibration improved but still sucks.

UPDATE 17.10 CET

Vibration : still un-noticeable when walking or eating or doing human stuff, like typing on a keyboard.
Battery : The watch has just died on me 3 minutes ago.
