Tried WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger calls, so far, so good but Skype doesn't work, whenever I try to call it just restarts, the app I mean, weird, anyone with this problem?
sudosurootdev said:Only problem is that I don’t see any log or solution. Maybe it is fixed in the framework or HAL, so you all will have to let me know if it has improved. If not I’ll try to get it working, at least audio. I built and posted a fresh set of L5 builds because there were lots of updates, which I think Dave is still building for Exodus… which is what they were talking about. I also posted updated L51 builds, and I am now building L51 builds now with Android 5.1 revision 5 updates merged. So, I have been very busy. Like I said, let me know if it is improved in any of the builds. If not, since I built updated L5 builds, I am now back to only building L51 daily, and since I am building with 5.1 revision 5 merged, I’ll have more time to debug, fix, and keep improving L51. By the way, if the audio is not fixed in the builds that I am building now, if you can pull a long logcat while trying to use skype that will help a lot. Use: `adb logcat -v long > logcat.txt` to start. Thanks for the info, update, and for your dedication, and support. I’ll keep working my ass off for you all!
Please read the answer posted by sudosurootdev on his website (especially the part in bold):
Personally I don't own G2, but I'm really interested about these things.
So, i never really bother with the whole battery life thing. But just realized that after flashing the 4/08 L5 build, the battery is pretty bad. Just an observation. I always am able to charge my phone so it doesn't affect me.
Forgive me if this has been posted before. I was fooling around with the mobile settings and the following settings worked in getting some kind of mobile data. There is no 3g or 4g or lte icon displayed on the status bar, but my speed test gives me around 5Mbps up and down. That seems faster than the 3g speeds I had experienced in this area,so I want to say it's lte.
This worked for me and I use the 12b baseband, YMMV. Try it at your own risk.
1. Settings - > Mobile Network - > preferred network type - > "CDMA+LTE/EVDO"
2. Settings - > Mobile Network - > Access Point Names - > Verizon Internet VZWINTERNET - > scroll all the way down on the "Edit access point" screen and select "Bearer" - > LTE
