I'm sure Sony is waiting this time with update for their latest flagship simply because they want first fix some of issues this phone suffer with like heating issue or bootloader issue when myXperia is on...so it will take longer time I guess

There is currently (recently uploaded I think, as I don't remember them on there the other day) a release for Italy Generic, Turkcell (Turkey) and Vietnam generic version 28.0.A.8.251 on Xperifirm. I'm currently downloading the Italian one but it is going slowly as it is on my work computer. It is apparently 2.03gb in size btw, will let you know the android version once its downloaded and installed.

The kernel seems to be new (Dated Aug 19).. Might change the kernel behaviour a bit.. Did you do a full wipe using Flashtool ?? I'm considering on flashing it but I don't want to lose my data.. Is it okay if I don't wipe all data ??

P/S: The last time I use Flashtool was when I was using my Xperia Z.. I'm forgetting how it works..

I didn't do a full wipe, I left data intact, but it should work just fine either way. Its working perfectly well, it seems slightly smoother but that might just be me and cpuz is now saying 3 cores are disabled as opposed to it saying 2 were disabled on the previous firmware (dont know if this is just cpuz tho). The dialler appears to be a slightly different design is all that I have come across so far. It appears to be getting rolled out to everyone too. Theres a lot more customisations that have it available today. Make sure you have the latest version of flashtool too. Install that, click on the xperifirm button and it will show you all the customisation versions available in there once you go to your phone version. Click the one you want to download. If you have it set to unpack the download once its finished, you just need to go to Tools -> Bundles -> Create and move everything over to the right in that (not sure if you can move the .ta ones, i didnt but dont know if thats ok in flashtool now). Once thats done, just click the flash button and it should walk you thru it. You will need USB debugging enabled and the usual drivers installed etc too

The update is being pushed out via PC companion everywhere it seems so no need for Xperifirmware if you are in one of the regions that has it pushed out(see Xperifirmware)

I'm on a Mac, is the Bridge For Mac basically the same thing? (In the UK too, not one of the regions mentioned ... guess I'll wait either way!)
It essentially does the same thing I think, yes. Haven't used it myself. UK ones aren't released as yet, but I would expect them to begin appearing over the next few days normally.
