A question since the daily is frequently updated.

Will I be able to automatically download updates from the systemupdate option in settings?

if you configure so yes
but actually its no longer necessary since 5.1 wont change ☺
How about the recent Android security updates?

Edit:

Never mind. Nightlies are built from source, and source is pulled from AOSP source, right? Just curious, cause I plan to stay on 5.1.1 until the 6.0 builds go nightly.

Currently sticking to OmniROM L builds coz I really need a working video cam.. It's working perfectly fine here! (except for the pause during video function but, meh)

Front cam video recording in M is great too but the audio seems to be a bit delayed.

Regarding LVM, perhaps I can give some advices based in my experience. Although it is really easy to set up, it can sometimes arise a problem that can complicate things.

1. Starting from a no LVM situation, first step is to download both setuplvm_find7_FULL_WIPE_10282014.zip and removelvm_find7_FULL_WIPE.zip. Refer to these posts to find them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55187001&postcount=558

Copy both files to the external SD. Warning! to the EXTERNAL SD; the setup process completely wipes internal memory AND internal sdcard, so these files need to be located in the external card.

2. Make sure you had backed up of your data to a safe place (not internal SD, of course), then reboot into recovery; a note about this: I always have used official TWRP (actually 2.8.7.2), and never had problems. No need to wipe data because LVM setup reformats data and sdcard partitions, or it should ... I've setup and removed LVM several times and once, after setting up LVM, when installing the ROM, got lots of error messages. After investigating a bit, I realized that the /data partition had no format, so I formatted it from the TWRP menu and then everything worked as expected.
Select INSTALL and locate setuplvm_find7_FULL_WIPE_10282014.zip file, confirm and let TWRP work. After flashing, reboot to recovery again.

3. As an extra precaution, you can wipe partitions, to be completely sure that everything is installed as expected. Be careful! Don't touch raw_ partitions!! This could result in loss of the LVM configuration.

4. Finally, you can install ROM as usual: flash ROM, SU, GAPPS ...

5. Reboot, configure and you're done.

Hope this helps.

Hey listen.. I'm installing omni rom 6.0. I'm using Oppo Find 7 with coloros 2.1.5i (lollipop)
I want to ask that does omni rom support the unified partition which coloros provides.??
If no then how can do I proceed with this method?

Whatever you mean with unified?
If you mean repartitioned - then no
If you mean lvm - yes ofc

BTW: you should really not ask such questions here :)

Okay. But can you please tell me what should I do to setup LVM?
What I did was kept the zip folder (setuplvm_find7_FULL_WIPE_09012014.zip) in external sdcard. Then from TWRP recovery mode, I tried to install that zip, nothing happened. The process failed. Am I missing something?

I think somehow only the App partition is working and all the other partitions are unallocated. What should I do to solve the storage issue?
Please help!

Does the Omni 5.1.x ROM works with every GAPPS? I am asking because I can't find the banks gapps http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps seems link does not work anymore.
You could try

https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=profile&uid=23060877490004802

or

http://download.dirtyunicorns.com/files/gapps/banks_gapps/

or the more general GApps thread (which may or may not be update anymore) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-consolidated-gapps-thread-t3064693
