Not sure if this is a good or bad thing but I saw this earlier:
http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-pre-orders-hit-550000-in-two-days
I'm going to start calling BS on this article and others like it. All the stories I've read so far have been quoting "numbers" but all of their sources are directly from Samsung (press releases?). There's very little they offer in terms of third-party accounting of how many devices have been sold. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but this just sounds much too much like the tech press fawning all over itself to report publicity numbers and never verify anything.
If Theranos wasn't proof enough that the tech press doesn't seem to mind quoting nothing more than press releases and fawning over the CEOs with absolutely no proof of the actual story, then unless they can provide actual corroboration from third-part of carrier sales, this isn't real.
