5G band confusion

What step you get stuck? Or you don't get 5G working even you completed all steps?

I end up in QPST EFS Explorer with this notification

What you see on QPST Configuration -> Active Phone tab? You should see State = Enabled, Phone MSM... (modem name). If you see No Phone then something is wrong. Make sure COM-port is same you see in Device Manager.

never mind it was a driver issue, working now i was able to edit the file. However i don`t get 5G on my device. also i can`t seem te get to the point where i edit last things using ##4636##

Are u in 5G area? You can maybe enable 5G via Settings -> WIFI & Network -> SIM & network -> Preferred network type? If this doesn't work you have to enable 5G via *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone information -> Preferred network type.

Thanks for the heads up, the #*#*4636#*#* worked and I now have a 5g enabled device

Curious - when I type *#*#4636#*#* into my dialer, nothing happens?

It worked! I used another PC with adb drivers, qualcomm drivers and QPST and now I have 5G with Sunrise CH.

Have any of you actually got good speeds on 5g compared to 4g? My 4g is almost 4 X faster. So I've turned 5g off, can't see the point.

385Mb.

I'm going out on my bike soon, will do some tests.

Yes? I can get 700-900 Mbit/s easily over 5G... Of course i can get that same speed over 4G on some sites.

Yes editing carrier policy should work also with IN2020.

Where?? I'm in central London and honestly it's poor.

4G beats it by miles.

Tbh though, who the hell needs that kind of speed? Unless you're downloading in a rush or working a server (ping is awful).

Not everyone live in central of London. I'm from Finland and in home i get easily 700-900Mbps 5G speed in Elisa 5G network with OnePlus 8.

I have made list of hardware supported bands and combinations:

This setting work with me on my OnePlus 8 pro
