I did flash the zip ,to enable the button but still , the volte ims is not Registered or volte doesnt show. I only changed the carrier policy xml file under policy-man folder. Since i never got any other efs files for volte. I do have a mbn file for the carrier but dont know how i can load that.
What all i did is :
1)tried to flash BC62 to BC
72 Sea firmware using newflasher, ended up with sim not able to activate.
2)Flashed only the modem from BC72 on BC62 using new flash still no volte ,but sim works.
3)Imported a carrier xml i edited from MBN file using notepad++ , and placed that in policyman folder got 5g but still no volte.
4) flashed the zip for volte button from your post and still no volte .
Sim has volte enabled , works on Samsung.
How can i extract the efs files from a MBN file or ,can i load that MBN in phone ? And which folder i need to load efs file for volte?

you need to edit the file by putting the path into the OEM_SW text file to load MBN
yes after editing the oem text file of the carrier file you are using, load it from the PDC and then activate it. Please repeat the same process twice. Rebooting the phone can solve it. Once active, it is fixed.

I am trying this on my xperia 5 ii now, Model XQ-AS52. I even did ' ADB REBOOT FTM' the phone only restarts and then adb shell and su , same not showing in PDC

Now volte, wifi calling and 5g works on xperia 1 iii and xperia 5 ii . Can confirm it should be working for even countries without MBN in firmware from sony and also can be reverted to non rooted and locked bootloader. Thanks a lot to htcmage, with his help this was done.
How? How can I do it without root and unlocking? I really need VoLTE. Idk why it isn't there while my carrier supports it. Telenor Hungary (from march it's Yettel HU), XQ-BC52. If it's an easier way, I'd flash the SEA firmware. Will it work with this version of 1 III?
I dont know if flashing sea firmware will work , since i had xperia 1 iii bc62 and xperia 5 ii bc52, i flashed both phones with their respective sea firmware and both i lost the sim capabilities literally. I took the long route, as htcmage explained in this post. With the extra steps as trying to find a phone based on the same snapdragon chipset available in the country and extracting the modem from that and with help of htcmage converting the mbn of the country iam at to EFS files.
Rest was just placing them in the corresponding folder using efs explorer.
To return back to stock then removed the root from magisk by uninstall and then flashed the original boot img to make double sure and at the end relocking bootloader. Since post android 12 there was no ota , iam not sure that works but i did get xperia apps to update from sony update center. And yes factory reset still did keep the efs files i uploaded to it same.

Tried following the steps from the thread but did not succeed. got stuck at step 2 itself..
