U need to rename , those files and remove the _E1FF_F. then copy all files as per the folder.
yes you need to copy all files. For second sim , u need to edit and replace the 'subscription 1' file, under /data. And finally yes its long process, but it is worth the effort, since volte, wifi calling and 5g(depending on region and coverage) can be activated via this method, be used for what the price we pay for this phone.
Thanks for clarifying.

Quick questions:
"For second sim , u need to edit and replace the 'subscription 1' file, under /data", do I need to rename that file on laptop with this name i found in the phone and then upload it there after deleting it in phone? Sorry, I didn't fully understand what I need to do for this. Could you please elaborate a bit more?

Additionally, when I rename the files and remove the suffix on laptop before uploading, won't the files in the 2 respective mcfg folders have same names for quite a few of the files and keep overriding each other when I indeed upload? Will this still make it work for both the SIMs?

UPDATE:
1. Had to reflash the whole firmware and repeat this whole process as the networks weren't getting registered for some reason. Renamed the files and uploaded just Reliance and VoLTE only is working (no VoWifi).
2. For Airtel to work (haven't added these files to the phone yet as I am not sure how to add given the same filenames and it being getting replace by one another), what exactly do I need to do so that Reliance also keeps working? @johndaniel)

Also @johndaniel Once I have renamed and removed the suffix from the different extracted files for these 2 different MBNs (Airtel and Reliance carriers), there are still many files that have the same name in many of their folders. Which one should I upload first to avoid having those replaced by one another. I really need help uploading both uniquely so that VoLTE and VoWifi (hopefully) starts working for both these SIMs parallely.

Could you please provide that clarity and help me with it? That would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks @htcmage, @johndaniel and Sadique Hassan (droidwin.com) I got VoLTE on my SONY XPERIA 5 II (XQ-AS52 EE UK) in India with Airtel. Thanks all for your valuable contributions. I was in trouble without VoLTE, now all are gone.

HI, I already have 5G and VoLTE by default with T-Mobile on this phone, but I'm trying to get VoWifi. My phone is already unlocked and rooted. I also have the MBN from a Mi11 Ultra (same chipset) I can use. I have QPST tools installed and managed to connect with EFS explorer. I'm just completely lost on what to do next. I read something about EFS tools to convert a file to use, but I can't make sense of it. Can anyone provide help on what I should do next?
Hi @misquia can you please share the MBN files of Mi 11 Ultra from APAC folder for following carriers
- Reliance
-Airtel
-Vodafone

Does anyone know a trick to get the Qualcomm driver working in a virtual machine? I can dedicate the USB bus to a Windows VM in VirtualBox but only MTP is seen. I already tried disabling USB 3.0 since that's unstable on my phone.

A Windows VM image is trivial to get (Microsoft offers them for free). Real Windows is a bit harder but maybe I can convert the VM image to a bootable image. I'd also need to unplug all the storage on my motherboard (not easy) so it's not destroyed by malware when downloading from the typical web sites claiming to host Android tools. The last Windows VM I used seems pretty wrecked at the moment. (https://band.radio/diag seems safest, but I still don't trust anything)

Please help me i have a 2 xperia 5 ii both phone volte or 5g not working
Follow the steps to root , then enable the Qualcomm ports, u can use the mbn push method from the other post in this forum, to push mbn . Remember airtel have started to whitelist phones, which means even if u push mbn for airtel , it wont work unless they enable volte from the carrier side. Jio and other carriers works for volte and wifi calling.
5g for india is a no go. They have whitelisted phone models , sony is not in it. So no matter how much u edit carrier config it wont work. 5g we have to wait till they enable from carrier side.

Hi @johndaniel , can you please elaborate in technical terms what does whitelisting mean from carriers like Airtel & Jio. I have been trying to explain them but not to any success.

I have Sony Xperia 1 IV which supports volte for Airtel out of box. 5G for Airtel can be enabled by a little tweak in disabling the dsds and enabling it again. This works for e-sim versions phone.

5G for jio is not yet supported even after above tweak.

Well in case of airtel. As per them , they have implemented white list since 5g roll out , which is database of models of phones that are supposed to get volte. This dont apply for 5g.
For jio you have 2 issues , jio runs 5g on sa not nsa. So xperia 1 to 1 iii ,i know has issues with connecting to SA 5g standalone. Second you need have a model of phone that is in their database to enable 5g service on the sim , then it can be used on sony. But volte and wifi calling works for jio and idea/Vodafone.

For jio 5g , Get me the mcc, and mnc with ca combination i can create a carrier file and see if it can enable 5g . provided u have welcome 5g enabled on sim.

In my case I have Sony Xperia 5 ii SOG02, everything is working great with 5G,4G network..
I can make calls but can't received calls that's the only issue I have. When I Change the network to WCDMA, I can make calls and received calls but the internet speed dropdown to kb and can't even open browser.

I am happy with 4G as it is more than enough for my general usage.

What I want Sony to basically fix is volte and WiFi calling as that is a deal breaker considering 3G network will be phased out.

If Sony don't fix volte issue then certain countries will not be able to buy the upcoming Xperia phones as it will no longer be able to make calls.

Now volte, wifi calling and 5g works on xperia 1 iii and xperia 5 ii . Can confirm it should be working for even countries without MBN in firmware from sony and also can be reverted to non rooted and locked bootloader. Thanks a lot to htcmage, with his help this was done.
