  • Nearly done! Migration cleanup is mostly done. There are a small number of issues left that we continue to work on, but all the heavy lifting is done. Code:
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */
INFO

NOTE: These builds are unofficial.
Paranoid Android also known as AOSPA (Android Open Source Paranoid Android) is a project based on AOSP, with minimal changes to the system such as Theming Engine and Advanced Power Menu. Latest version of AOSPA is 6.0.3.

My own changes to the ROM include:
  • Replaced LatinIME with Google Keyboard, because of a bug with Immersive Mode.
  • Android 7.1 DeskClock
  • CMFileManager
BUGS

  • Emulated Gyroscope
  • FM Radio
  • Dual SIM?
  • Occasional lag after wake-up

DOWNLOAD

NOTE: SuperSU is not included! You can install it after flashing from TWRP -> Advanced -> Extras -> SuperSU
NOTE: Download GAPPS at opengapps.org. I recommend the pico package.

If you are coming from previous version and get crashes from some apps, wipe the data of the app in Settings -> Manage apps-> <crashing app> -> Storage -> Wipe data

Changelog

  • 21.04.2017 - BETA V4
    • HuaweiSettings - new app made by me in the Device section in Settings (look for cake), contains device specific settings at the moment only dual sim/single sim switch. The arrow circle on right top instantly reboots the device.
    • This update fixes Single SIM, still not sure about dual sim.
    • New autobrightness levels
    • Some under-the-hood changes by Meticulus (See my GitHub for full list)
    • Updated DeskClock version 7.1.1
    • I noticed an occasional lagging when you unlock the device. Probably some VSYNC problem. Don't expect soon fix.
  • 11.03.2017 - BETA V3
    • Enabled Dual SIM menu in settings - Single SIM probably won't work - see THIS
    • Removed su binary from /system/xbin
    • Spanish translation by @core720
    • Fix [email protected] playback
    • Add systemless root support for CMFileManager
    • Fix crash on clicking 'Learn more' in Settings
    • Bluetooth headphones confirmed working - at least for me
  • 04.02.2017 - BETA V2
    • Fix front camera snap latency
    • Fix CMFileManager issues
    • Fix Snapchat/Instagram/Screencorder video recording (a codec issue)
  • 24.01.2017 - BETA V1 - Initial Release

These are great news! Thanks for all your work :good: . "Unfortunately" I just joined the Stock Nougat Beta test in Europe, now I should stay put with it for a while...

Front camera works for me, just wait a bit longer but i will look into it.
You're right , had to wait about 5sec and it snap. But 5sec is a little too much. Tried with Open Camera and snaps right off. So far im loving the rom, its simple, clean, fast and fluid but the battery drains quickly.
I read at CM13 topic that replacing the media_codec solves the problem with snapchat videos and camera bugs, will it work on the Paranoid too?

thanks for your work
