Guys, I tried to flash the XEF firmware with Odin (using the PIT file linked earlier) and it failed. What do I do now? Is my phone bricked?

Can someone put a full (noob free) tutorial,,

I'm on rooted custom G920F rom.
I'll try explain this the best I can for you.

1. Download the firmware from the main post and put it on your desktop.

2. Open it up in WinRAR or 7zip, and drag the hidden.img file out onto your desktop.

3. Rename this file hidden.img.tar

4. Download ODIN and open it up.

5. Put your phone into download mode by holding VOLUME DOWN + POWER + HOME.

6. Press volume up to continue once you're on the light blue screen on your Galaxy S6.

7. On ODIN, click the box that says AP (I think its the second box).

8. Select the firmware file you downloaded earlier.

9. Wait for it. It should get to a stage that says FAIL in a big red box.

10. When this happens, hold VOLUME DOWN + POWER AND HOME until you are back onto the download mode.

11. Click the AP box again on ODIN and select the hidden.img.tar

12. It should say PASS in a green box and your device will begin upgrading.

This is what I'm doing. I flash the 6.0.1 XEF firmware (G920FXXU3DPAD_G920FOXA3DPAE_G920FXXU3DPAD_HOME.tar.md5)with Odin 3.10.7. During flashing, it says "FAIL". I reboot into Download again, flash the extracted hidden.img.tar, it says "PASS". I boot the phone normally, and it enters "Android Recovery" with the following error message:

Code:
dm-verity verification failed
E:Failed to mount /system (Invalid arguments)

EDIT: I have now tried flashing the following firmwares:
- 6.0.1 XEF (G920FXXU3DPAD_G920FOXA3DPAE_G920FXXU3DPAD) > "Android Recovery" with error message above
- 6.0.1 VOD (G920FXXU3DPB8_G920FVFG3DPB8_G920FXXU3DPB8) > "Android Recovery" with error message above
- 5.1.1 XEF (G920FXXS3COK5_G920FOXA3COK5_G920FXXS3COK5) > Succeeds, but freezes during boot "Samsung" logo
- 5.1.1 NEE (G920FXXU3QOLH_G920FNEE3QOL2_G920FXXU3QOKD) > My original firmware, this is the only one that works, but of course hasn't gotten the OTA yet.

Is there any reason why you don't directly download and flash XEF 6.0.1 firmware? Thks

I flash the 6.0.1 XEF firmware (G920FXXU3DPAD_G920FOXA3DPAE_G920FXXU3DPAD_HOME.tar.md5) with Odin 3.10.7.

and everything is working well
it didn't delete anything!

I can confirm this! No problems at all and everything is smooth as butter :D

Just to confirm, I understand you both flashed XEF firm directly, with no pit file... right? Thanks

For me no problems ether. Direct flash with Odin, no pit file or flashing a hidden.tar necessary. It worked straight like it should. I´m happy that I done that, system is much smoother now.

I have a issue, can someone help?

Issue is: Odin gets stuck at "SetupConnection". I am in Windows10 64bit

I have tried:
All drivers possible
All USB ports possible on my PC
Starting in download mode before, after plugging in to ODIN

NOTHING HELPED! :(
