Any of those who received the US version can list what build number it is please? I'm hoping it's the newer May 16th kernel build....

I just ODIN'd the NZ version on my US WiFi tab s2 last night. Will it detect the US version and download the OTA or am I going to have to wait for an ODIN firmware is uploaded to sammobile in order to see it properly?
Either install older US version and update.
Or wait until the image gets posted soon.

Mines rooted/etc... so it gives me a warning and doesn't allow for me to check for an update.. might revert back and see if it will pull an update..

I've been looking for the firmware download link for the new US version also. I can't even find the older 5.1.1 odin flashable file for US on sammobile. Is there other places anyone knows of for firmware files?

EDIT: Can any US version confirm this is the correct firmware for official firmware? https://samsung-firmware.org/download/Galaxy Tab S2/O216/XAR/T810XXU2CPD9/T810XAR2CPE1/
Looking at that link, it looks like that is it. According to 'mfr213', he stated the kernel version and release date, which when looking at the link you posted, it matches the date and kernel(changelist, last #s anyways). :) I'm still at work, so can't try it yet...

You could also out your tablet in download mode, connect to Kies and do an initializion to return to stock. It will restore to factory with marshmallow. That's what I did

I just dirty flashed from NZ with the file above XX and its working. I did lose root.

Anyone have evidence that factory rest is better than just flashing over to Update? Specifically speed differences is the focus.

German version vs USA version

So I have a rooted German MM version. On my previous rooted stock rooted rom with lollipop, I could not get my tablet to connect with my LG smart TV via smart view. It would say there was some kind of software error. I think I remember reading somewhere that the tab s2 will only screenshare with 2015 smart tvs or later. My TV I think was made in 2014 or 13... This German version however, has this feature working now, and I wonder if the US version of MM will still work if I switch over.

Got the OTA a few days ago in Canada.
Was disappointed that security patch is only April.
Has anyone else had problems with wifi on 5ghz. It is usually fine until it is awoken after sleep and then I have to go to settings to reconnect.

im running the canadian MM and can confirm no problems with 5 ghz wifi. im able to use the bands that were not supported when running the UK MM aswell. other than that i cant tell any difference between the canada one and UK.

I went from 5.02 to 6.01 (German release) and it works perfect. I did lose root, but after flashing SU I got root back. No problem.
It's smooth and great.
However there are three little things that annoy me.

First I cant use fingerprint anymore after a reboot. I used to be able to do that in 5.02. Is there a way to use fingerprint after a reboot.? Also after 24 hours I can't use the fingerprint. Every 24 hours I have to use a different unlock method and after that I can use the fingerprint for 24 hours again. Really annoying.

The second thing I don't like is the way I have to shutdown or reboot. I have to press twice. I think to prevent unintended shutdown. But I still prefer an imidiate reboot or shutdown when I choose it.
Is there a way to fix that? Maybe with an exposed module? What is good exposed module for the tab s2 with marshmallow anyway?

The SD card is handled different in Marshmallow. In Lollipop I could use some patches to make it writable in all apps. Now in Marshmallow I can't. Apps like foldermount no longer work.
Will a different kernel fix this?
I'm using stock kernel by the way. Any other kernel someone can recommend me?
