New firmware versions for Xperia T and Xperia TX were certified by the PTCRB a few days. And now, the 7.0.A.3.197 hit to Vietnamese Xperia TX's users. This firmware have some new features like .195 fimrware on Xperia T, but Sony added Extended Standby Mode on Xperia P's ICS to save battery life.

Here is some pic from vnSony, I'll upload the .ftf soon for everyone need it!

Extended Standby Mode

Quadrant on .193

And now, on .197

AnTUTU benchmark higher (about 1000 points)

you can install on all Xperia T?
Probably not, but you can backup and try and report back.

Can you confirm if bin4ry's root method works for this firmware or do you need to unlock the bootloader and flash advanced stock kernel to gain root as we have to do on the T with 7.0.A.3.195

Just tried Binary method, stays on running forever. Installed Advanced kernal. This is off topic but how do I root with advanced kernal installed?

I don't use TX, these pics from a member in vnsony, and he confirm it can't root with bin4ry pack. :(

I think we have to try any way

If you have installed the advanc kernel you are rooted. You just need to download and install superSU from chainfire.
Search for it in xda or in the market
I installed supersu and errors when opening it, says su binaries not installed.

Anyone flashed this FTF?
I flashed it and my TX died, luckily my boot loader is closed so I repaired it through SUS.

I keep hearing that the update gave tx a boost from 5000 to 5800 roughly.
Im not a tech guy or anything, but mine is sitting at 5400 after the update. Does the quadrant even matters? Not every chip is the same, does that show that my chip is slower than some others?

My apologies if I'm asking a stupid question.
Thanks guys! :)

Personally all benchmark tests are meaningless and should be taken with a pinch of salt. What matters is how it operates day to day. I've yet to take a benchmark result I've seen seriously because I think it's pointless for mobile phones, but that's just me while others love to moan their figures aren't what the reviews got blah blah blah. Basically if the phone is working fine for you ignore benchmarks as they're not going to be able to give you a realistic measure of anything you'd do in day to day use.
