[7.0][STOCK] Lenovo P2a42 Stock Nougat Update [S232]

Hi guys, I created a zip for those who rooted or flashed custom rom on their phones.Also, I will share official ota link so that you can flash it through stock recovery.

Flashable zip for TWRP users:

Flashing instructions:
- Reboot to TWRP
- Make your wipes (data,cache,dalvik,system)
- Flash this from "install" section
- Reboot and use it.

The official update for us is going to be a while I think.

You should try it.I don't think it will affect your warranty because it is an official ota zip.This zip only checks if your phone is marshmallow or not, if it is mm, then it should flash properly.

I had to use SuperSU 2.79 to get proper (systemless) root, maybe this helps anyone. 2.78 got me rooted but my SIM didn't work with it.

i have the uk three network edition and this wont install at all ,(not rooted)

The update is probably detecting the 3 version as a different rom so it wont install . If you flash to S048 row rom , let it update to S062 then you should receive the OTA update to nougat

wzedlare could you change your post to tell people to rename the stock rom from - P2a42_S062_170117_ROW_TO_P2a42_S232_170320_ROW_WC00AFB1F4.zip to UPDATE.zip

It will save lots of people saying it wont flash

If you flash any of the stock ROMs, will it affect a bootloader unlock timer that is in progress with Lenovo? Will it get reset or fail to activate in some way?

I won't unlock your bootloader.It is the official ota zip.

When you apply to unlock the bootloader the phone contacts Lenovo over the internet , so the countdown timer runs from their end . so your safe to reset , upgrade etc

tried this but not happening and i cant get the device to connect to pc after i boot to fastboot
