He has Android 5.1.1 with the Find7Spectrum_12_160601_Beta build. Everything pretty stock, so no root I think (I don't have the phone with me right now). The partition type is the old one. Actually, one of the reasons he want to flash a custom rom is "to get more space to install the apps" ;)

Where do I have to start from? Thanks a lot in advance! :) :) :)

If I remember correctly, there is a way in ColorOS itself to unify the memory partitions and it is done in LVM as required for Omni. Probably in settings>storage. Do note that doing it wipes clean the storage so tell him to take backup of the entire phone.

Once that is done, he can go ahead with flashing twrp and Omni. Let me see if I can dig up my post when I had done it for the first time (for Android 6).

One question regarding the settings of the quick settings bar. What does the option "quickbar scroll" setting actually do? I can't figure it out. Single swipes on each half of the screen or on the corners do nothing. And the "two finger swipe" is a standard android gesture which will even work if that "quickbar scroll" is disabled. What's the trick/how does it work?
And is that old known "swipe left or the swipe right" option now completely gone to access the quick settings with one swipe instead of two? I liked that.

Thanks!

Hey Maxwen, any possibility for a 8.1 release or a least the KRACK vulnerability update? :)

Why such an answer? I know you may be tired by redundant questions, but if you maybe read the rest of my answer:

I understood it as a quick pull mechanism like in OmniRom 6 and already tried it in every way.
So instead of just answering this question with 3 words I had to figure it out myself half an hour and came to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with what I understood. So for everyone else: It's the removal of the flying icon's animation in the quick settings bar when you pull it down. Bad description if you had the quick pulldown feature of Omnirom 6 in mind.

And about my second question, is there any quick pulldown option still anywhere in Omnirom 7? Did not find this option anymore. Any reasons why it was removed?

2 words

It's the removal of the flying icon's animation in the quick settings bar when you pull it down.

Not really - that is just a side-effect
It simply enables horizontal scrolling in the quickbar list

And about my second question, is there any quick pulldown option still anywhere in Omnirom 7? Did not find this option anymore

No - as you already found out in the meantime

Hello,

If I want to use this rom, should I install the kernel ( android_kernel_oppo_msm8974 ) first or is it already integrated in the rom ?
If not, what is the procedure for installing the kernel?

Thanks you :)
