About us ​

ColtOS Project is presented by a team of learners and it is crafted from lineage Source with optimal but all the necessary customisations. We have cherry-picked the features from many other roms/projects and we are very thankful to them!! The OS is still in beta phase and growing like a vine. So, although there are no remarkable bugs experienced, if you find any, please let us know with a logcat.

Flashing Instructions

Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP

- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)

- Flash the latest version of the ROM

- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below

- Flash Magisk if you want root

- Reboot and ENJOY!!

Work on Oreo is on full swing meanwhile we have decided to release one more version based on N which we will call "SeaBreeze" v1.4

Some of the key highlights as follows :

1. Nov Security Patch
2. Added screen Lock/Unlock sound
3. Beautiful switch button
4. Added some default animations
5. Increased the fluidity with stability
6. More robust theme engine
7. Many more..

Note: Dark Theme Lovers : pls apply Colt Dark theme also under display to enjoy the theme engine.

Groovy! I'm ROM hopping because I can never seem to find all of the features I want in one ROM so I'm hoping this is the one. So far, the ROM will have everything but I can't xposed to work with it, or xposed will work but magisk modules like v4a won't work. Or substratum stuff doesn't work right, like boot animation changing, etc. I really hope this is the one that gives it all to me until moto drops official oreo so all the oreo ROMs get a huge stability boost

Sigh. As badly as I wanted this ROM to be the one, it's not. Xposed Framework installs fine, activates fine, but modules do nothing.

Xposed is not officially supported by any ROMs mate... But do ping me on telegram @TheNewGuyHere we'll try to sort this out

I'll give it another go after the holidays. Right now I'm just sticking with stock + Xposed, and substratum works enough to change my navbar icons to the ones I like so it'll get me through Xmas until I have more free time to tinker with my phone without risking missing important calls or texts from family and friends.

Why is this fantastic Rom sitting all the way in the corner. I love it. It's fast. It has exposed elements embedded without exposed installed. And it has all the settings anyone needs for Nougat Rom. I tried RR 7.1.1. and ColtOS beat it hands down. Bump this up and thanks the auther. Damn good work here. I'm keeping it.
