I would like to ask for an opinion about whether should i get a new phone or just a new battery for N900? Because I'm sick of my faulty battery with less than 1 hour SOT and random reboots. I would also like to know someone's experience who's using a new battery.

Recently, I changed battery (I have less than 6hr duration) and go to stock ROM (some problems with LOS and I missed pen functionality). I rooted the stock rom and with link2sd app I uninstall KNOX and othe useless Samsung apps and integrate in system updated system apps. Then I installed App Ops app to control apps permissions like boot executions, contacts access, etc. I have about one day duration but I have a lot of apps :(

Thanks! It's good that your phone can last for a full day considering mine doesn't even last 2 hours, so guess I'll just get a new battery.

Big thanks to @tincho5588(Even though he's been gone for over an year) for all the work on the exynos note 3! We had an amazing XDA community full of people who wanted to help out each other but i guess it's far too old now. And just like @etch_kayy says, i've jumped ships to the latest note.. Thanks for all! :)

I haven't yet, but I'm planning to do the same by the end of this year... It's been some great 5 years, we started from CM12, almost got CM15, definitely the best threads I've worked with over all of XDA... All you people are just so awesome.
Thanks to everyone indeed.
Edit: 6 years.

Indeed this was a glorious community that I enjoyed exploring the Note 3 with <3 Even though I have jumped ship to the Note 8 I still visit the forum on a nearly daily basis to check up on progress (and to watch @JJEgan scold people who don't read or search before asking ? ).

I briefly took a look at the forums of the newer Galaxy devices and from what I saw at least, the Exynos variants are on-par if not better than Snapdragons with development! This is great news, and makes owning an Exynos Samsung these days a good investment for the future :good:

Stick with Samsung people... don't let the feature-compromised & headphone jack-less enemies win!!! ?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
It is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
