So did you ever try the MEA+ zip? Or did you just go straight to the Sprint version in the OP?

I know someone posted their framework2.jar and Telephony apk for me to try and update it, but I've been so damn busy that I know I missed it :( why don't you post the versions from whatever ROM you're running and I'll turn it around tonight I promise :)

As a reminder, I need the framework2.jar and SecTelephonyProvider.apk from your ROM.
tried it. I think I got FC's at boot but can't remember for sure. should I try it?
here is link to sectelephonyprovider

and here is framework2.jar

thanks!

Here are some alternative zips containing different versions of the MMS app, based on several people requesting certain features within the app or differently-themed versions.

Feel free to participate and share any other version that you've had a good experience with - and I'll add them here!

NOTE: If you already have flashed one of my earlier zips and you're on AOSP, just download the Mms.apk file from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43700174) and follow install instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43659066. This method *should not* delete your text messages.

Alternative #1: Stock-Themed Mms from most recent CM10.1 nightly *dark pop-up reply widget is actually themed correctly*
Pre-MEA: http://www.mediafire.com/?u5nafh0ftctwtu2

MEA+: http://www.mediafire.com/?iy7qncz4jeezu5o

Sprint Testing Zip (from OP): http://www.mediafire.com/?g3okbufgn3iikss

Sprint MF9 ROMs: http://www.mediafire.com/?u5t16kf1is92cxy
For anyone who is interested - I updated Post #3 with all of the zips redone to include the CM10.1 Mms.apk.

Alright Sprint peoples, take this for a whirl if you're on MF9 firmware:

http://www.mediafire.com/?cl1zf5adbcybeak
froze when I opened it. and some fc's. also seemed to kill radio but that may have been temporary..
restore previous zip didn't seem to work..
gonna reflash ROM I guess..

EDIT: tried pushing stock MMS and sectelephony apk and the framework2 jar but still can't get my MMS app working again. freezes on open, then closes...
cleared cache, dalvik, fixed permissions..

Crap, sorry man. Since you said you seemed to have lost your radio, it sounds like the SecTelephonyProvider.apk is borked in the zip...try downloading the MEA+ zip and extracting the SecTelephonyProvider.apk from it, then push to your system and see if that works.

You need to delete the DB files again if you manually restored your backups...my restore zip deletes them for you. That should get MMS working again.

Edit: Here's a flashable zip that deletes the appropriate db files for you.

no worries bra. that worked to get me back going.
honestly if I just push the mms.apk from the zip it all works, without changing the sectelephony or framework2. everything except I must click view on an MMS before sending or it force closes. that's my only complaint and I guess I can live with it although obviously a fix would be sick. thanks for everything..

You need MEA+. MF3 is the newest build for AT&T variants.
Ya I figured as much after all the FC's. Didn't see the post till after saying it was mea+. Didn't see it in the instructions either so flashed the pre mea. No big deal. Restored backup and reflashed. Good to go.

Actually I had a brainfart and forgot that I posted an updated version for MF3 ROMs specifically, as some were having problems with the MEA+ version on MF3.

If you're good, then don't bother...but if you start running into problems, flash the MF3 version.

Ah OK. Didn't know there was an mf3 version. Guess I need to read some of the pages I missed. Thanks for the heads up!
