The issue is that some roms have changed anotttherrr file that pull information from. I will account for this, and have an update for everyone within a day or so.

Question. .can i pull that file from another rom and push it to the rom im on? And then flash the mod?

For me dont work on vn3.0 on stock messaging app ;-( but app like whatsup works.

Well, I found the problem, and it isn't because of that file... First of all Samsung's Messaging App doesn't show notifications for texts from yourself... and secondly it turns on the screen when it gets a notification. This obviously interrupts what I'm trying to do. You can try this and try again, receiving a text from another number:

EDIT: if the below steps don't work, because they're getting overridden upon reboot, then just download the modded Messaging app from here: XDA Thread Link.

I lied. Not csc, although I'm sure it is. I know I saw it somewhere. But this for sure works. Go to /data/data/com.android.mms/shared_prefs/
once in that folder, open up com.android.mms_preferences.xml
scroll down and find

<boolean name="pref_key_backlight" value="true" />

change true to false.
save, and reboot.

1. You can have this type of behavior if you go to Settings-> sounds and notifications -> Notifications on lock screen -> *hide content*. Then when you get the notification, it'll just show '1 new message' instead of the text! Hope that helped!

Yes Ok....
But then i no have wisible notify from other app.
For now i have visible notify in lock screen, but lock only for messeges... and now on edge all sms text is visible... ;-(


And any idea for visible time on edge is more than 10min ?

@SnMSlrC you can install it manually! If you have one of the compatible builds posted thus far, just extract the appropriate zip, install the apk that is in Trailblazer101/data/... Then manually push the Trailblazer101/system/framework/services.jar file overtop the one on your phone, making sure to back up the old (including the framework/arm(AND arm64) services.odex files if you have them), and change the permissions appropriately (0644, I believe).

Well i would try it but i'm actually scared for a bootloop :/

Settings for Cocktail Auto-On to Function Properly

Cocktail AutoOn For Galaxy S6 Edge
Hey guys, just finished my latest mod -- Cocktail AutoOn! What this does is turns on the CocktailBar (the screen that is shown when you do the back and forth touch motion on the edge while the screen is off) when you receive a notification, of whatever app you select. It first shows the "Clock Feed" for a few seconds, then it moves to the Notification Feed, which will tell you about the received notification.

PLEASE READ!

• First please flash this with FlashFire, if you don't know how to do that please follow the steps here to get it set up: XDA Thread Link.
• You MUST open the app that will be installed, Cocktail AutoOn, allow Root Access, then Click the 'Click Me' button and enable the app in the screen that follows. You should also go into Settings, and enable some apps you'd like the CocktailBar to turn on for!
• Samsung's Messaging app won't show notifications for messages sent from yourself, so don't test this that way. Also by default it turns on the screen for new messages, which interrupts and defeats what this does. You can change this behavior I believe by following the thread here: XDA Thread Link

Willing to Test?
If your phone isn't in the supported devices list, and are willing to participate in this beta, please send me your services.jar file found in system/framework. If you aren't deodexed, please also include /system/framework/arm (AND arm64)/services.odex. You can either pull it yourself, or get it from a ROM you trust. I would prefer the latter, so I wouldn't have to deodex it myself (as long as it's a deodexed ROM)!

I flashed your zip and enabled notification access for the app (and contributed a healthy donation). However, the notifications are not showing up on my cocktail bar??? I have the edge screen and associated notifications toggled OFF in my device settings. Do I need to adjust those settings for your Mod to function properly?? Thank you.

Thanks again for your support! Yes, you will have to have the edge screen turned on, which doesn't really hurt anything having it so. You will also have to make sure the 'Information Stream', along with the 'Briefing Feed' is on as well. Then follow the steps on the OP and it WILL work

people buy the full version! this is so cool. one note- when i set the display time for 30 sec or a minute, the side bar comes on but it doesnt show any notification. when i set it back to 15 sec then it works just fine
