Tried Carbon yesterday. ROM is very fast, debloated, fresh and smooth. BUT the great issue is the Camera, that is absolutely unusable. The camera app is crap, it doesn't focus, is laggy, and take so poor picture that is better suppose your device hasn't a camera at all.
Reverted back to stock

Appart from that, if you don't want a camera in your smartphone, it's a great Custom ROM

Firstly. A great thanks, this rom is so smooth and fast. However just having 1 small issue, does anyone have trouble with their deepsleep? Mine remains on 300mhz almost all the time with screen off. Any workaround? Thanks. [Edit] i found the culprit: NFC was causing wakelocks with nfc:mroute wakelock, disabling nfc didnt work, but removing nfc service from /system did the trick. No nfc now but deep sleep works perfectly and no more wakelocks from it. 1489907816807.jpg

5GHz Wi-Fi on Sony Z3

First of all I'd like to thank Myself5 for doing great job and delivering us good ROM (I have already clicked thank buttons).

I have researched why my phone with AOSP Nougat based ROMs does not connect to my 5GHz Wi-Fi. I have flashed all carbon versions, "[Nougat 7.1.1][Z3 - D6603] Android Open Source Project" and "[ROM][CLANG][7.1.1][Substratum]PixN Rom". Here 5GHz compatibility table (+ means works, - means does not work):

Code:
PixN1_6_D6603.7z (2017-01-04) +
CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-WEEKLY-leo-20170101-1528.zip +
CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-WEEKLY-leo-20170123-1814.zip +
CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-WEEKLY-leo-20170208-1751.zip +
CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-WEEKLY-leo-20170216-0259.zip +
CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-UNOFFICIAL-leo-20170310-2234.zip -
leo-img-7.1.1-NOF27B-20170307.zip -

Looks like all latest builts have broken 5GHz feature. "iw phy" issued via ssh shown 2 bands when phone connected to 5GHz and only 1 band otherwise.

5GHz does not work "out of the box" for Russia. First I had to login via ssh. Then remount /system partition writable. And lastly I had to change "ccode" variable in /etc/wifi/bcmdhd.cal from XT to RU (country code). When I changed country code, 5GHz started to work after switching Wi-Fi off/on in the phone menu.

Hope this helps somebody.

Thanks for the tip. :highfive:
No matter which ROM, also Stock, always sleep of dead.
Uninstalling NFC was the solution for my Xperia V.
No more SoD! :good::good:

Attention_EasterEgg_

The thing about Moo? CR-4.0 (unreleased) had the codename "LUX". So, following the naming scheme we made up we needed something to start with M. One of us came up with the stupid idea to call it "Moo". Well... what started as a joke ended up as the new codename.
Linüxx is Moo too! :D

Stable enough for my d6653?
We had a talk about that in the Z3C thread, basically all arguments are valid for the Z3 too:
Check the last 3 or 4 pages here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/cr-5-1-carbonrom-t3529766

We are currently all working very hard on the 7.1.2 "bringup" as 7.1.2 is not just an update to 7.1.1, but its completely rebased on 6.0.0_r11. This means we need to reapply all of our customizations and so on. This is why the weeklies are currently on halt. We are really sorry for the lack of communication, but promise that a full explanation is following up soon.
