I installed this rom. Beautiful, fluid etc etc, I found a bug: I did not recognize the USB connection, are you aware of? you can do something for the camera?

How could this work? Our Snapdragon never get any driver Update for Android 7 - this is why Sony stopped developing for Z3 and Z3compact.

no dude we dont get the 7.0 couse there was something about the 7.0 devices have some more cpu extensions for better security. its nothing like we cant run the os. is more the support got dropped couse google was like: Hey we lift the security standarts to a point the snapdragon 801 falls out. good luck with it.

Actually, the M blobs work fine on N. The code for msm8974 support that got removed by google was removed in clean commits, that were revertable without issues. Just because Sony can't release official updates (because Google officially removed the msm8974 support) it doesn't mean that Sony can't provide trees for building Nougat and binarys from M that work fine on N

I have issue, twrp instalation pops something similar to "this is d6653, rom is only for d6603..."
Can you tell me which bootloader did you use? I used emma to return to 5.1.1 version, and when I go to service menu I can see my model is 6603

Thats not a Bootloader issue but a recovery issue.
Use Emma to install the latest ROM again, the use a TWRP thats listing the device name correctly. Use the MultiROM TWRP from my thread for example, thats listing the proper devicename and is tested with Carbon.

So, I contacted person I bought my z3 from, he flashed boot some bootZ3monxtest01.img and whatever I do I get to same TWRP v2.8.0.1 recovery that pops that d6663 error. Any ideas on why is it like that and how should I proceed? I hate being stuck midway, I remember carbon serving me well on my HTC desire HD

First of all, thank you for the good ROM 7.1.
Next the flash went smoothly, but a saw at the end that it's flash a boot.img file.
The ROM works fine beside the camera and no root.
Do I tried to root without success.
I downloaded later the super su to flash it but I can't access anymore to my recovery ( TWRP ).
I tried de flash it again with the ADB but the computer can't find the device in fastboot mode.
Now I don't have a recovery nor a fastboot but the ROM is still working normally.

First time that I ask a question because English is my third language and I usually make my own research, but now I'm feeling helpless and I have a weird situation.

You can install the stock rom with the 291 FTF compilation by flashtool and restart and then install the recovery by Fastboot and then start pressing the volume down button and the power on button to enter the recovery and then follow the installation steps of CarbonROM

First of all thanks for providing us Z3 users for this ROM. Fast Smooth everything I love! But I found a few issues, would like to know if anyone else has them two.

Issues Found

1 - Power Button Press for screen to come on DELAY
2 - Camera doesn't work, tested via Instagram and Snapchat and it looks horrible
3 - Audio sounds loud but "weird" not sure if its being boosted or what but it just doesn't sound right
4 - WIFI Tethering doesn't work
5 - Icons disappearing after restart using Pixel Launcher

What I dont like

1 - Cant install Music by Sony with APK
Yes so far only one thing lol

What I LOVE!

1 - Night light
2 - CarbonFibers Customization
3 - EVERYTHING ELSE
4 - Cropping Screenshot

Lets hope the bugs will get fixed and Ill be happy to give feedback like this daily as I used to do with Android Concept ROM and Slim ROM

1) Will look into that.
2) Per definition a bad quality is not the same as "doesn't work" The horrible quality is nothing we can change. Thats a blob related issue, and has to be fixed by the next blob release by Sony.
3) Looking into that too, probably a Sony AOSP bug though too.
4) Intresting. Going to research that too.
5) The App presumably requires some kind of Framework that is obviously not existing on AOSP. Poweramp is a ton better anyways

i've got a problem, after i installed rom, Gapps (aroma) and SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815 i can't enter recovery anymore. Is this a know problem wich i just overread or do i have a problem here?

No matter which recovery I try to flash, I can't get in to it, it just reboots... Am I doing something wrong?

When turning on the mobile, release the power button and keep pressing the down volume so that it enters the recovery, after you install the FTF give a complete start and then install the recovery.

Yep, that's what I did. Full start after ftf install, and after that recovery flash and nothing is happening :/

btw, screen is black while in fastboot mode, I am used to nexuses(4 and 5) is it normal for sony?

Here is the video of how to enter the recovery and if you have problems with stock 291 test Emma and install the latest version of the new Bootloader that is in compilation 575 with Android 6.0
