Its most probably dirt / water or somehow damaged usb port.
The 7000000.ssusb is otg wakelock . The phone keeps searching for otg , it keeps otg turning onn and off so the phone doesn't goes to deepsleep that's probably a damaged usb c issue like somehow something is connecting some of the pins in the c port .
Exactly, finally I bought a new USB charging port (around 6€ on Amazon), I replaced the board and all went back to normal, the old usb port was a bit rusted so I think the phone thought something was always plugged and the phone didn't go to deepsleep although the trick with the otg cable was usefull too

I've got this issue on my Mi A1 at the moment, is the charging port replacement pretty much guaranteed to fix it or are there multiple causes?

Weighing up whether to spend money on the parts (and will replace battery at the same time) or to just sell it spares/repairs on ebay.

Thanks

Not worth the effort, time nor money. In my case, the issue lasted for a few months then magically disappeared after an update. I'm not convinced this is a hardware issue - at least not in 99% of the cases where this happens. The Mi A1 is so cheap, there's no point throwing cash at it anyway.

Thanks txenglan, that's basically confirmed the conclusion I was reaching.

No prob. It's an annoying thing to live with but I'm not the only one who woke up one day and discovered the problem had gone away so with any luck, you'll eventually be rid of it as well.
After putting up with it for weeks, posting on this thread seems to have cured it (for now at least!)[emoji1]

I have an Mi A1 model.
If I follow this steps:
1)Change dir to: sys/module/DWC3_msm/parameters
2) Open file "disable_host_mode"
3) Delete "N"
4) Enter "Y"
5) Save
Then my phone does not charge battery while it is on.
If I turn it off then it does charge the battery correctly.
If I change the parameter value to "N" and restart the phone, then it does charge the battery while it is on.
I suppose that this parameter also influences to detect when you connect the battery charger.

It really sucks. after gathered so much info I thought the problem is for sake of Google, this is a bug by android os, not devices or plug port. what made me laugh is that google keeps the bug through android 8,9,10 XD

fortunately we have XDA! ?
