So GCam good at Axon7 only for Photos? 4K rec still best on stock AEX 5.8 camera?

Yes, photo is much improve with Gcam.
For video recording I didn't notice any difference to the stock camera. 1080p is fine but 4k is lagging a bit.

So use Gcam for photo and use stock cam for video.

GoogleCamera_6.1.009.215420794-beta2

This version seem to works well. But front cam has green tint.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/GoogleCamera_6.1.009.215420794-beta2.apk
Working
- HDR+ on and HDR+ enhance. (rear)
- video recording: 720p, 1080p, [email protected] on rear camera.
- video recording: 720p, [email protected] on front camera.
- Portrait mode (rear)
- Motion photo
- Photo sphere
- Panorama
- RAW Photo
- Night ?

Not working
- HDR+ off (Nothing happen)
- Video recording: [email protected] fps. (Not available)
- Slow motion. (Crash)
- Take a picture with flash.
- Photo booth
- Face retouching ?

Issue:
- View finder is laggy. Switching HDR+ on to off and back to on again will resolve this issue.
- Gcam use high iso when take a picture in low light. Resulting with more noise picture.
- Memory leak issue when using Gcam for a while and eventually crash.

It works really well here too on LOS15.1, including video recording. The HDR+ is really very stunning! Thanks for all your efforts, and if flash could be fixed at some point, this will for sure fully replace the stock app :)

Are you using the new unrooted b20 stock Oreo. My camera records perfect. I test it against my Nexus 6p, now I am comfortable to sell my 6p because the camerA works as it is suppose. I can record a video for you
Thanks, I updated official Lineage 15.1 and now it does work.
Perhaps it has some B20 stuff included after the stock rom was released.

Hi all - I just wanted to share my experiences for the benefit of other Axon 7 Owners.
My Setup: Los 15.1 Trebled (Oki method). A2017G.
I have tried predominantly GCAM V5 builds - so the builds before the Pixel 3 release.
All builds I tried were downloaded from (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/)

1) Arnova's v8.3b1; Most features work correctly. HDR+ (both normal and enhanced) has color accuracy problems. Specifically, red tones are too dominant and contain artifacts; there is also a red hue over parts of the picture. Exposure settings only make it worse. Activating option to reduce red/magenta hue makes no difference.
Arnova's v.8.2; Fewer options and functions than 8.3b1, yet the same problem with HDR+ persist.

2) FU24 build (GoogleCamera_5.2.025-Final_fu24-16b.apk). Most functions work properly. HDR+ still colour accuracy problems. Under artificial lighting, whites and reds are not accurate.

3) Serjo87 (GCam_5.1.018_by_SerJo87_1.6RC3_test1_pre-Release_ewg.apk). Some bugs in functionality. (HDR+) does nothing. (HDR+ enhanced) works. In my experience, Serjo87 HDR+ enhanced has the best colour accuracy of all GCAMs and no artifacts. Under artificial lighting, Red is still prevalent - but it can be adjusted in settings. Not perfect. But good.

SNAP camera is a more reliable camera all around, but picture quality and colours are not impressive. When GCAM gets it right....pictures are stunning.

Great feedback... :good: I have 1) and 2) installed on my B20 oreo build. Despite color issues, I still prefer gcam over stock cam for photos. For 1080p60 video, stock app is not too bad.

Test night sight on GCcamMod-6.1.013.apk

The viewfinder is black when using night sight. But you can take a picture and it will save normally.
The result are quite amazing.
Night sight use 1/3 exposure and ramp up iso depend on the scene.
Front cam doesn't work that well at all. It's has green tint and very dark picture.
Here are some comparison pictures.
1. Gcam 6.1.013 HDR+ enhance
2. Gcam 6.1.013 Night sight
3. Arnova V8.3b1 using min iso.

Tested on B01 oreo beta with HDR+ patch
