I have problem with playing videos on instagram. It worked fine with 5.2. I tried reinstalling, clearing cache, chanhing windows animayion scale. but still no luck. Any way to fix ?

Try this on v5.3 and report back.

Possible workaround for audio problem (tested on my ze600kl):

0. Verify that in /system/etc/mixer_paths_mtp.xml have correct file for yours zenfone variant. (Mandatory)
1. Flash audio fix by Luk1337 Link
2. Need to copy libtinycompress.so in /system/lib and in /system/lib64 folders. I used the original files from build of asus firmware 6.0.1 WW. (take correct file from same folder, don't swap 32 and 64bit version )

After reboot audio working.

in the past, i have already tried steps 1 en 2 without any success on roms based on 8.1 .
i restarted the entire process this morning fro scratch (steps 0,1,2) but
For step 0 , i notice that the file /system/etc/mixer_paths_mtp.xml does not exists on the AEX 5.3 rom ...
I copied this file from a working (speakers ok on ze601kl) lineageOS 14.1 (7.1.2) , but with no luck
For me it doesn't work .
Do you think there's another files to be copied from a working ROM ?
(like mixer_paths_dual_EU.xml or mixer_paths_dual_WW.xml or sound_trigger_mixer_paths.xml ??? )

Also manually copy these missing files + lib files don't work
