You can use my personal build, it has August security patches:

lineage-15.1-20180818-UNOFFICIAL-Z00L.zip

I will update it every month, because I need it for my own phones. It is build from the LOS sources without any modification.

@okmikel, please check if the video recording is working on stock Snap camera or Asus Pixelmaster camera in your build?
I also build Lineage OS for myself. With the update to August security patch, I found this bug with the video recording on August 13th. I'm forced to use Footej camera now. It works, but all the rest do not.
So is your source of interest. You build from official LOS sources on Github, https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_asus_Z00L ,right?

You are right, it is not working. And yes, I build from offical LOS sources. Also the PixelMaster Camera (installed as a zip in TWRP from here ) does not work.

@TheImpulson I see AospExtended with android Pie is released on the telegram group. How likely is it that we'll see LineageOS builds? Just asking for an estimate of the probability if you don't mind, even if its completely wrong and/or completely skewed as an estimate.

Just FYI, ASUS' pixelmaster app works without any problems on 2018-07-17, Z00T. IIRC, the August 2018 security patch is for a newly disclosed bluetooth vulnerability. I don't think it's of any significant threat if you don't rely on bluetooth much.

hmm... why does it have the same build date with mine? is it a coincidence or you took it from my reddit post? anyone flashed this rom? what does it says in the kernel version? is it [email protected] box? if yes, don't use it, the custom kernel i edited got some problems, your phone will become slower gradually, i removed my reddit post for it. i already changed to aex.

well, if its yours then its yours, kernel version can't lie, if its a coincidence then it is, and i don't care about los anymore. lineage 15.1 is not optimized for z00l, thats what i can say, RR and aex is runs much more smother and saved much more battery than los, so if u know what u r doing, try optimizing it yourself and just don't mess up everything.
