Booted to Safestrap
Created ROM slot
Installed SM-N900A_OC2_Lollipop_Rooted_Deodexed_init.d.zip and UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Both installed successfully
Rebooted
Stuck at Samsung Galaxy Note 3 splash after ATT boot tone partially plays

Any ideas? Pretty sure I need to completely start over again with Odin.

we cannot use the slots with OC2 or OC1 , the reason is safestraps last kernel is NC2 so it will not run on any newer kernels, we only can install NC2 to boot safestrap to do recovery stuff, like backups and installing rom's and addon's we then have to install the OC1 or OC2 kernel to boot the OC1 or OC2. we keep a copy of the OC2 or OC1 recovery installable kernel so that is the last thing we do before leaving recovery, is install the kernel.

Ah, gotcha. So it sounds like I proceeded correctly, but should have flashed OC2 after I installed the ROM and SuperSu - is that correct?

A few subtle things I have found:

If you really did a fresh install, you should not need to re-install the OC2 kernel. You should only need to flash the OC2 (or OC1--keep reading) kernel if you used NC2 to reboot into TWRP from the running Android OS. I regularly forget to do it, but it is usually easy to recover, since the NC2 kernel gives you a simple menu entery at reboot and you can click recovery to get back to TWRP and install the OC2 kernel.

I had weirdness after doing a fresh wipe and install. What I found was there is on my External SD card, there is an Android/data directory. By deleting that Android directory, then doing a fresh wipe and install, it worked fine.

There may be multiple versions of the OC1 and OC2 kernels, but the ones I found, the OC1 is a larger file, and so I have been using that instead of the OC2. I have no idea if it makes a difference.

Unfortunately, I redid the entire process by restoring from N900AUCUCNC2_Full_Odin_Tar, then repeating the process to install Safestrap through the root process located here . After flashing OC2 from the OP in this thread, the device still freezes while booting at the same stage that it originally froze at. I also tried removing my SD card (which did have an android directory), but that did not allow the process to proceed.

Edit: Flashing OC1 and using the stock slot rather than Slot 1 allowed me to boot successfully, though gets stuck at the ATT splash.
Edit 2: Success, looks like it just took a good 10 minutes or so for the phone to churn through.

Can you install xpose using these roms? and also how do I use the samsung and att debloater?
Yes, (someone can correct me if wrong) put the Xposed installer and framework in your SD card, then run NC2 flasher. This should allow you to boot back to Safestrap. Then in Safestrap, flash the installer and framework, then the OC2 firmware.

OC1 larger file has the bin files needed to allow a OC2 patching install , OC2 is identical to OC1 except with the sercurity files updated and just the OC1 changed to OC2 in info page.

Hi to everyone! Did someone have this problem: I was on 4.4.2 (flash N900AUCUCNC2_Full_Odin_Tar), rooted, installed SafeStrap, NC2 kernel and when I install any rom I get an error: "error executing updater binary in zip some symlinks failed (status 7) installation aborted". I've 20 GB free on Internal SD and on external. What the problem is? I've used latest SS.

I just got this AT&T Note 3 and helping out my sister updating it to Lollipop. It is still 4.4.2 stock with I recently rooted using GeoHots Towelroot, installed Chainfire's supersu. I use a nexus and I'm used to TWRP, easy flashing, etc - this is a first time for me with AT&T and Samsung devices :(

And now, Im deciding to upgrade it to OC2. What should I do first?

Can I just flash this ROM directly using Flashfire? If I can use Flashfire, will it also update the Bootloader and Radio? Should I flash to OC1 first?

Would it be safer and easier to just use Safestrap?

I just want Stock AT&T ROM and maybe debloat it afterwards - and she will use it in Canada.

Clarification

First of all, is this thread dead or will anyone reply within a year.

All I want is Lollipop 5.0+ something and xposed framework for my AT&T Note 3.

I am coming from 4.4.2 JellyBean ; BaseBand NC2, root it with TowleRoot, Install BusyBox, Install SafeStrap...

Then what? This?:
1. Download and copy ROM SM-N900A_OC2_Lollipop_Rooted_Deodexed_init.d.zip 1.28 GB to your SDCARD.
2. *** Download and copy @Chainfire UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip to your SDCARD so rom will boot
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
3. *** Download and copy @Walter.White SafeStrap_Power_Menu.zip to your SDCARD if you want the Advanced Power Menu with boot to safeStrap
SafeStrap_Power_Menu.zip 23.8 MB
4. Boot to SafeStrap recovery and do a factory wipe
5. Install SM-N900A_OC2_Lollipop_Rooted_Deodexed_init.d.zip and UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
6. (OPTIONAL) Install SafeStrap_Power_Menu.zip if you want the Advanced Power Menu with SafeStrap Recovery
Or do whatever OP means that if you come from 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 you must do this:
If Coming from KitKat or JellyBean You need to Install this OC1 firmware installer
REDACTED
and then the OC2 firmware
REDACTED
So what are the step by step instructions here?
Posts in this thread repeatedly say you must go from OC1 to OC2. To my understanding flashing with SafeStrap can not be done in Lollipop, so must I use TWRP and flash again after Lollipop?

Ended up getting this ROM instead:
[10/11/15][ROM][ATT][NON-Aroma][Aurora-Note3-Full-G9200-Port][Deodexed/Root/init.d]
