Darn ... official samsung site has it back to 149 dollars ...

Anyone seeking to part ways with their samsung official bluetooth keyboard? I'd be up to buy one second-hand ...

I have this one and it works quite well. The keyboard unit is attached to the leather with some sort of yellowish adhesive and with some applied force could be detached; however it is firmly sitting in its place. the keyboard is a silicone one, which makes it noiseless and water-proof, should your dog decide to take a whizz on it. The downside is that the keys are nor full size. They are a little small to get used to, but there is an okay tactile feedback when you press them.
The keyboard has some auto-off functionality. If it idles after a certain period, it will enter sort of hibernation mode and resume upon the first key-press and reconnect.
Silicone is a good choice of material because it will never scratch your screen and it also serves as a protective layer against pressure when the case is closed and inside your carrying bag for example.
The case is secured with a magnetic flap which has never opened by itself while carrying in my shoulder bag.
On the back of one side, there is a kick-stand like extension which is also magnetically secured to the surface when not in use.

Overall the case adds considerable bulk to your tablet, but also, reliable protection and some very usable productivity-oriented features.

I don't know how anyone is happy with this keyboard case. Build quality is the only thing going for it. It is not the full sized chicklet keyboard represented in all the product pictures. The pictures are of the 10.1 and its keyboard case. It's clearly marked on the box. The actual keyboard looks like something off of a 4yr old 7" netbook and types like one too. cramped and narrow, the space bar only works with a firm press in the middle. Any side hits get you nothing.

I was excited to have this nice integrated solution, and now it seems I'm stuck with the separate bulky keyboard dock. Definitely can't wait until someone makes something close to this size with a keyboard case.

And samsung customer service sucks. Would never answer the simple question of why they do not show a picture of the 8.9 case anywhere on the worldwide web or on the product package. No answer to why they claim the keyboard is full size when it is nowhere close.

Chat has escalated my ***** session, and they now have all the information. Will see what comes of it

Found this official case online today - not much action around here but I thought I would share.

Just so you know, the case pictured is the 10.1 case. There are no official pictures of the cramped little version for the 8.9, but people have posted pics of it here. Just fyi so you're not disappointed if you get it.

Samsung case I ordered was only £26.24, so worth a punt - looks like they have sold these now as the link takes you to another store at almost full price

The iLuv case is still on sale at £19.99, it's a bit strange but might be a better design for some - it looks like it is a 10inch size keyboard with a 8.9 case stuck to the top

Thanks for the info dbpaddler.
