8MP (4:3) vs 6MP (16:9) image quality problems?

Contemplating getting this device and played around with it in a store today morning...

When testing the camera i noticed ALL widescreen images shot @ 6MP are getting somewhat blurry-er as you move from center towards top / bottom corners. Like not in focus at all i would say. Check samples in GSMArena review, they have the same issue....

8MP images do not have this issue, at least not (that) visible on the screen.

What's up with this, can anyone confirm?

Not a photo expert, but can't say I notice that in CM at least. Can you link to an example?

I have used my s4 mini some days ago for over 100 photos in 16:9 at 6 mpx, no blurry or similar :good:

Could anyone please post any photo from 9195 running CM10.1 with maximum image quality?
Just to compare to stock quality.
