8T not booting after trying to boot to fastboot

Hi all

Thanks in advance for the help.

Limited experience in this area but I've done alright in the past using step by step instructions.

Anyway, here's deal:

New 8T
Sim unlocked
Attempting these steps to unlock bootloader
Get to

1. Power off your OnePlus 6T. Press and hold“Volume +”and “Volume -”.Then Press power key to enter “fastboot mode”

Reboot fine but can't quite get my PC to bring up the fastboot command prompt properly
Reboot the phone again according to the steps above
***Here's where the issues happens***
Black screen, hear a camera noise
Black screen ever since.

I've tried to just power on. Nothing
Tried to boot into fastboot, nothing.
Also tried to boot by holding Volume+ and power but nothing there either.


This is my first time hitting a snag with following a basic tutorial. Any advice greatly appreciated!!!

Found this in another thread:
- "Try a Hard reboot ( Power + Volume Up) for 10 seconds"

Phone booted. Issue resolved for now. Will post updates and revisit thread if problem reoccur.
