Unfortunately on 636 the processor does not change the vendor.
Only installing Google services is possible.

The method can only work on firmware 151.

This should work on android security date patch builds PRIOR to October 6th 2019.
One way to achieved that on latter builds, is to fastboot flash only System.img from an older build. Do the GMS trick, then OTA update keeping your settngs

okay bro i will test and let you know. i just unlocked bootloader with HCU-CLIENT tool. i have the system.img for old build. can i flash it with fastboot command over new build without issu?

Has anyone been able to root EMUI 9.1 on the 8x Max? I patched the ramdisk from the 151 build with magsik but root was not installed when i rebooted

hi everyone sorry for my english i'm italian.
i''m playing a lot with 8x max are-al00 from china without gapps.
i found a way to run them.
you need to put phone in manufactor mode by entering in dialer:
*#*#2846579#*#*
select background setting
select usb port setting
then select manufactor mode
connect to pc
open hcu
now in hcu find " readbootloader code" under unlock section
press it .
once done it will backup a txt file in logs folder of hcu
copy the code found
non with phone in fastboot (press volume down with powererd off phone and connect usb)
open a prompt on pc (need to have installed adb before and fastboot)
in the dialog window write " fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxx and press start
(xxxxxx is the code hcu saved in txt )
now bootloader open.
then i used ARE-AL00B-BD 1.0.0.36_Board Software_general_8.1.0_r1_EMUI8.2_05022.zip found in the net.
unzip it and you will have different folders inside.
then with idt tool i selected .xml in software folder inside ARE-AL00B-BD 1.0.0.36_Board Software_general_8.1.0_r1_EMUI8.2_05022 folder .
so once done phone run in emui 8.2 with gapps working simply downloading in apk format.
once done all these remember to reuse hcu to repair cdma with autobackup created with it.
all working good only update are missing.
i-m working on to solve it .
