I don't know, my phone just rejects root. First the phone started rebooting when I installed magisk 16, but phone was rooted. Then the update to v17 failed and messed up boot so I reflashed the rom. Uninstalled magisk and installed fresh v17 again, but then pixel launcher got into a crash loop.
Guess I'll just live with no root for now and try again some time later.

Magisk 17.1 is perfect guys. Working great. If u don't get to see magisk manager apk in app drawer even after flashing magisk.zip, just install recent magsik manager apk manually. Bcs sometimes it fails to show up. Then u will have root..just a magisk manager issue i think

Format data and do factory reset while in TWRP. Reboot to recovery, connect phone to PC and copy ROM to the phone and flash it. Copy and flash Magisk if you need root. Reboot and you should be good.

Did you flash gapps with it, that's the only time I've seen the problem, they are included in the ROM

I tried both with flashing GApps and without. Same result.

Which build r u using mate. Check pls. Bcs with last build no pixel setup force close and mobile network reception is good. Clean flash without gapps. Last build date is 18/08.

And if u don't get mobile network... Wait for 1 min. Sometimes it will take time to appear even if it says no sim cards. And join op2 discord server, it will be easy for u to communicate.

No success. Am I supposed to wipe anything more other than factory reset slider in twrp like most of the ROMs?

Wipe everything other than internal storage and flash rom without gapps and without magisk also

I suggest formatting data. This will format internal storage. Reboot into recovery after that, copy ROM from PC to the phone and try flashing again. I've had issues without formatting data.

No, it doesn't. Factory Reset slider only Formats the Cahe, Data & Dalvik. But to install ROM you are supposed to do advance wipe that includes wiping OS partion i.e., System. Internal Storage is not needed to be formatted.
