Thanks for keeping this up to date. I know you mentioned that you're busy so I'm not expecting a response, but do you know why your overlay conflicts somehow with the fingerprint navigation gestures on phh's Treble GSIs?

No idea. I've always used stock factory images with no issues. Could you point me in the right direction since I've never heard of this issue?

After digging around for a bit, it looks like when your module is enabled, /vendor/usr/keylayout/fingerprint.kl is reverted back to the stock one (from Huawei) and ignores the one set by phh.
It looks like your module doesn't touch it, so it's probably an issue with the GSI with overlays.

Which treble gsi are you using specifically? It could be the overlays have the same priority and can be confusing the system.

No idea. Only thing I can think of kind I said is the priority in the overlay APKs could be something. Overlays with the same numerical value would cancel each other out. Mine is set to 97.

Turns out it's a Magisk issue.

Here's my personal Pixel Magisk Module.
Contains only the necessities I use from Pixel Series.
Contains Pixel Launcher, Actions Services app, AOD, Digital Wellbeing, Swipe up on home default, pixel rounded ui, rounded icons, pie recents enabled by default for pixel launcher, pixel blue system accent, pixel fonts
This is my personal module and I won't make a module repo.
I won't add any features so don't ask lol.
Will work with Quickswitch if you want to use another launcher with pie recents.
All files were added, made, compiled by me. This isn't a copy module and paste from other module zips.
All xmls are clean with only needed required entries.
If me sharing this is a problem @ op I can remove. Just thought I would share.
I'll keep it updated.

Miui 10 on Pocophone. Anyway, I expected it will have issues since the rom is not quite "stock". Formatting the data partition did solve the problem.

Do you see in ops first sentence where he says Essential phone? You don't even have the right phone for this mod much less rom ???
