1. From your ROM zip file extract the boot.img file. Put it wherever you want.
2. Launch Magisk Manager and press Install. Select "Patch Boot Image File" and select your boot.img file. Wait for Magisk to patch the image. After it's done it should be in the Downloads dir with the name patched_boot.img.
4. Boot to TWRP and take a backup of your existent boot image (just in case **** hits the fan).
5. Go to Install, select the Download dir and press install image in the bottom right corner. Select the image file and select the boot option when asked to which partition it should be written.
6. Reboot in system and voilà Magisk is installed.

From the ROM's zip file you long press the boot.img file and then press the 3 dots. Select "Extract To" and select the dir where you're gonna extract the boot.img file (in my example it is on my sdcard)

Here you have the Magisk Manager. When you launch it, it will show that Magisk Is not installed. Press Install. Press Install again. Then select "Patch Boot Image". You will be prompted to select the boot.img file. Select the boot.img file that you extracted. If you see just the recent files then pull from the left and select the proper storage. Wait for it to be patched. Your patched boot image now should be in the Downloads folder.

Now you boot to TWRP. Select Backup. Select just Boot *this is optional*
Go back to TWRP menu and select install. In the bottom right hand corner you're gonna see a button that says "Install images". Press it. After this you go to the Download folder where your patched image is located. Select it. Now at the second option where you need to actually flash the image, select the "Boot" option. Now swipe to flash. Press Reboot to system and you're done.

Ok try to get it this time
1. Have you extracted the boot.img file? If yes than that is already a step forward. If no than open the zip using default file manager and than extract the file like I told you in the post above.
2. Download Magisk Manager. Since I can't post links because I don't have 10 posts at this time, you will have to search for it yourself. Install it and launch it.
3. Open it. When it shows you that Magisk is not installed, press install then install again when prompted with the name of magisk zip file. Then select "Patch Boot Image File" as shown in the screenshot in the post above. Wait for it to patch. Patched file is in Download folder.
4. Boot to twrp (just in case make a backup of your boot)
5. Press install
6. Press on the "Install image" in the bottom right corner.
7. Select your patched_boot.img in the Download folder
8. Select the boot option
9. Swipe to flash
10. Reboot to system
And Magisk is installed.
Hmm interesting that you were able to get Magisk installed normally without patching the boot since I also use a Z00LD and practically every single time I have to patch the boot image. Nice post though, basically every single annoying bug that I've encountered is here.ZE550KL Z00LD

There is no need to give up. From my understanding you cannot find the boot image yes? This is my 10th post and I should be able to post links. With that being said I recorded doing everything you need to do before booting into TWRP. Link post will follow some minutes after this post.1. Did you extract the boot.img file? If yes, this is already a step forward. If not, open the zip using the default file manager and then extract the file as I told you in the top post. just what I can't find or do. I give up on everything thanks
