great job done though, krislibaeer. Is it possible to explain what finally was the reason for these shutdowns (if possible in a few words^^)?

Fix permissions works only after the rom has been initialized...
after a wipe and brand new flash, there are no files to be fixed!!

Hey guys! I tested the recovery and its perfect for me. I started it with Volume+ and Power, then i made a backup in 137 seconds. During that backup i had no random shutdowns. Its really nice! Thanks to the whole team :)

Hi Kris and team

A very big thanks for the really awesome work,

I cant ask for anything more .

A small request :

If you people look into and fix the Reboot to Recovery with TOUCH SOUND ON , Then it will be fully perfect.

i had twrp 2.2.1 and I did the following :
1) reboot into recovery from rom
2) reboot into recovery (just to be safe)
3) flashed the latest recovery
4) reboot into recovery
5) recovery booted perfectly
6) took backup of the existing rom(recovery of over 1gb took nearly 20 seconds) - tremendous improvement over the 2.2.1 version.. :)
7) flashed a new rom
8) reboot into recovery
9) restore the backup

all went well.. and I am extremely happy with the recovery

p.s. I tried the vol+ and power button combo and faced no problems..

thanks a lot ADC Team.. :)

    ....Just to satisfy curiosity^^

it was a problem with the rmt_storage which have something to do with storage (eMMC) and modem
