910F official Lolipop discussion and firmware

So when the UK finally receives the (BTU) unbranded fw, am I better to reinstall entirely, or just load the CSC over the top of n910fxxu1boc3 I've already installed from Sammobile?

It's perfectly fine to flash over the current fw you're using. Unless you get major issues or battery drain then clean install isn't necessary but some like to do that to start afresh.

Google supposedly fixed the memory leak...the downside is that our note 4's haven't even gotten 5.0.2 or 5.1 so no benefit for us atm...

i've flashed the N910FXXU1BOC5_N910FOXA1BOC3_alexndr firmware on my unbranded italian note4 and now my config is:
PDA: XXU1BOC5
CSC: 0XA1BOC3

but today lollipop became available in Italy for unbranded devices (PDA: N910FXXU1BOC5 CSC:N910FITV1BOC1)

as far as i can see it's not a newer version compared to mine nevertheless my phone says that an upgrade is available and asks me to install it...

should i install it or just discard the notification?

If the rom doesn't have problems than discard the notification.
The number from the changelist for the N910FXXXU1BOC5 is higher so the rom looks newer.

the changelist is 4596175 on my rom and here it states that the changelist for the ota oupdate is the same

It should be out shortly, just be patient.
I know it's frustrating because BTU used to be the first ones to be released on the previous devices, but now BTU will skip BOC3 and will get BOC5 which is much better and improved over the BOC3, so it's worth the waiting.

What are the improvements on the BOC5? I installed the multi csc BOC3 on my Italian phone, but today the official Italian BOC5 has been released. If it is better I'll install it

I realized that even with lollipop I don't have rw permissions on the external sdcard!
Am i missing some setting or it's still like kitkat?

Who told you BTU will skip BOC3? You don't know that for sure!

NOT possible: there's NO BOC4-release for the 910F (only PDA BOC3 & BOC5)

Come on @henklbr it was only someone's opinion about boc5 for btu. Aren't people entitled to their opinions? No one knows for sure what will happen.
