So when the UK finally  receives the (BTU) unbranded fw, am I better to reinstall entirely, or just load the CSC over the top of n910fxxu1boc3 I've already installed from Sammobile?

It's perfectly fine to flash over the current fw you're using. Unless you get major issues or battery drain then clean install isn't necessary but some like to do that to start afresh.

Read back in this thread. Suggestions of how to save on battery has been discussed already :)

Here is my post on battery if you wish to refer to it:

i've flashed the N910FXXU1BOC5_N910FOXA1BOC3_alexndr firmware on my unbranded italian note4 and now my config is:
PDA: XXU1BOC5
CSC: 0XA1BOC3

but today lollipop became available in Italy for unbranded devices (PDA: N910FXXU1BOC5 CSC:N910FITV1BOC1)

as far as i can see it's not a newer version compared to mine nevertheless my phone says that an upgrade is available and asks me to install it...

should i install it or just discard the notification?

still don't understand why they have not release the UK btu version?? kind of frustrating know that they have released o2/voda versions

It should be out shortly, just be patient.
I know it's frustrating because BTU used to be the first ones to be released on the previous devices, but now BTU will skip BOC3 and will get BOC5 which is much better and improved over the BOC3, so it's worth the waiting. ;)

What are the improvements on the BOC5? I installed the multi csc BOC3 on my Italian phone, but today the official Italian BOC5 has been released. If it is better I'll install it

Or buy an S5 with lollipop, cause they have this option. It is strange that my S5 BTU lollipop gets the 4th update with G900FXXU1BOD3 and my Note 4 did not received lollipop yet.

The "test"-country for the S5 is -> UK (BTU)!

Who told you BTU will skip BOC3? You don't know that for sure!

Today, many countries got the LP-update for their Note 4, and many got BOC3 (only a few got BOC5)...

My phone is from germany when should i get boc5?

Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA Free mobile app

NOT possible: there's NO BOC4-release for the 910F (only PDA BOC3 & BOC5)

Whats is your CSC?

---------- Post added at 07:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:33 PM ----------

And the test country for Note 4 (n910f)?
Cause i really like being constantly updated :)

Germany (DBT) got the most updates for the 910F

Come on @henklbr it was only someone's opinion about boc5 for btu. Aren't people entitled to their opinions? No one knows for sure what will happen.

This forum is for N910F Europe Galaxy Note 4 where discussion and updates on firmware can be found.

Visit this first post to get the latest download for official or repacked firmware. Note that Knox WILL NOT be tripped on official or repacked firmware. This post will be updated with new firmware as and when they're available.

I will also try to repack for individual regions for N910F only.

I'm in the process of moving the links to Android File Host but for the time being they're available below from Google Drive. Any submissions for faster download links should be sent to me via direct message so that I can update this post rather than having the links scattered throughout the thread.

THE FOLLOWING LINK IS FOR ROOTING AND XPOSED PURPOSES ONLY - I cannot guarantee that this will not trip Knox:

Original BOD2 firmware can't be successfully flashed by most of users due to large /preload partition (hidden.img.ext4).

So... I have prepared another gift (same ROM properties as in post #1386, quoted above)

Please read previous discussion (especially #1386-1415) before you ask a question ;)
