You're welcome. It works with the modified boot image with the rooted version, but works great on unrooted fw. Here's the link to it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1BCqa80fJFCbHFXVjhJQXZ4Vk0
It should work as soon as you download it and open it, no installation needed.
Drop a like on my posts if you feel they helped.
Question... Downloaded. It's file size is 2.57 mb. Is that correct? I have no internet on my computer... I downloaded it on my phone and transfered it to my pc and says this app can't run on my PC.

Ok...got the unlocked version of the firmware pl2 flashed as well as got the Hotspot working too thanks for the help turbozapekankaI! I was a bit nervous since my s6 got fried into a bootloop after flashing a rooted rom...and I'm not a newbie to flashing roms...I used the kitchen to cook up my own Roms on my HTC Titan and mogul back in the day. Question...will this update to pl6 at some point via OTA?

PL6 and PL2 are both the latest version, but they're just the respective versions for the different firmware. The PL is the newest version for both.

I am using the latest firmware and the odin file from this thread, but whenever I try to put the AP file into odin, it stops responding and crashes. I've tried downloading odin from other sources and get the same result. Currently I am redownloading the firmware. Anything else I should try?

The AP file take a LONG time to load (minutes) because it's the largest, and if you try to do anything else with Odin while it's loading it will say it's not responding and seem like it's locked up. But have patience, if you wait it will eventually load.

Yes, I've rooted and rebuilt MANY phones over the last few years, using ODIN. You have to imagine you're uploading 1GB-4GB (depending on ROM bring used and on what device). That's being copied over a USB connection. So imagine how long it takes to copy that size of a single file when using an USB v2.0 speed device.

Hello, now I'm on PL6 (latest version for Sprint), and I'm in Kyrgyzstan, so the question is which firmware do I have to flash (Will it work if I flash it with "G930UUEU4APL2_G930UOYM4APL2_SPR.zip" for Sprint)?
Which region do I have to choose from: https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G930U/?
SPR version will work
I compared SPR and XAA and they are identical, so my guess it they are all identical (at least for US carriers)
there are links above in this thread with faster hosting

Updated the OP with more recent information (I hope).

Changes:

1. Links to recent U firmware
2. Fix for "Pit Mapping Error" if you try to downgrade
3. Add Ad Blockers that are not VPN. Adhell and Disconnect Pro, which run through Knox and do a decent job...they save battery over the VPN apps
4. Updated the Doze section
5. Other Power Saving Tips that don't completely kill the functionality of the phone

If I missed something or something doesn't work, let me know and I'll change it. Hopefully, Nougat will drop soon on Sprint and the U
