Thanks. I have the latest modified firmware without the hboot, though. So, I can flash this over it?

Thanks

Couldn't it be a bad thing to flash the lollipop version if we don't have an official RUU for it? Will the latest RUU still flash without problem? Are there any upside other then the numbers update? Just curious.

You won't need this splash screen upgrade until after you update firmware...which is available BTW.

Did you flash firmware that OMJ posted?
May wanna ask him about it.
I'm not on Sprint.

This thread is hboot only and there are two versions of each hboot.
One being No Red Text and the other being Faux Locked.(says it's locked but isn't)
I'm not sure what you flashed and I can only answer so much about Sprint files/firmware.
I don't think I've ever seen an hboot update relock a bootloader.
But if you are s-off, can't you just reunlock?

Code:
fastboot oem unlock

yeah I flashed OMJ's modified firmware, after removing the boot.img. I have the red text now, but it shows my bootloader locked.if I use the command you posted it won't wipe my phone will it?

Hey @santod040,
There's a new firmware update that can be found here.
Will there be a no red text and/or faux locked version of this firmware from you?
Thanks!

Edit: This particular firmware update patches the 'Stagefright' vulnerability, so it's a pretty important update. More important than the one digit change would suggest.
I found this information directly from Sprint here.

Updated OP with latest hboot from 6.23.651.7 OTA.
Both No Red Text and Faux Locked versions!

6.23.651.10_NoRedText_hboot.zip

I made a 6.23.651.10_NoRedText_hboot.zip for m7spr :)

You understand and agree that i cannot be held responsible for such or any other damages.

Important: the flash process halts at around 75% to 90% on phone screen! This is normal and a safety precaution!
The last few percent is the reboot, which is NOT happening automatically, so you get a chance to check the console output before reboot to make sure it is safe to reboot!
