Hi All...

I hope I'm in the right place. I came from and currently on JellyBeans last version rom, v22 for the note 2 on 4.1.2. Can someone confirm I'm in the right place for 4.4.x version? The first post by beamstown says its for note 2 4.4.x but I wasn't expecting a new rom name - Alliancerom.

As for installer steps, can someone point me to a quick how to for installing the new firmware in odin? Haven't used Odin since day one of rooting this thing.

Anythng else I should know or tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks...
This is Beans or Alliance build 26 for the Verizon version of the note 2 and is 4.3 jelly bean. We can thank the gods of Odin that Lacoursiere18 is going to be taking over and is working on upgrading this wonderful rom to Kitkat.
You need to be on the MJ9 update and the flashing instructions and links are on the OP at the first page of this thread. You will have to use Odin on a PC or laptop to flash to MJ9 as well by putting your phone into download mode and hooking to that PC or laptop. Don't use mobile Odin app to flash to MJ9.
One you have flashed to MJ9 you will be able to flash this rom. And you will be able to flash the other 4.3 roms and the Kitkat roms. I hope this helped.

Why wouldn't you just wait another day or so until the new KitKat version is introduced however? He is expecting to post the new KitKat version of this rom this weekend.

I think I am in the same boat but want to confirm. Sorry if this is redundant but about a year ago I flashed a version on my S4 and lost root till they were able to find a fix and there's still no bootloader for it lol. I am on version 4.1.2 and baseband MC3 with Jelly Beans 17. Daughter wants to ditch her crapple for my S4 so I am reviving and updating the Note 2. Please don't scold me lol, I have donated multiple times to multiple developers, just been out of the game for a while. Just download and odin 4.3 and I will keep root and then download this rom when new version is released???

Thanks,

Glenn

Dude you rock I cannot wait to try this!!! We may not have custom recoveries, but we do have ODIN... so happy to see DEVs not letting the recovery aspect hold them back into making this amazing phone even better!!! Custom Rom, Wallet, and Camera 4.2 would truly make this a phone no other can touch!

Reading more of page one of this thread... Can someone help me understand what this was about? It's from the first page so I'm sure it no longer applies by now. If you read this post and a few after, it seemed you could not use recovery to load the ROM and had to use Odin?? Why was that? Was it just applicable to the newer note 2's that were coming out from Verizon at that time that didn't have the ability to have unlocked boot loaders due to Verizon's attempt to block it?

These forums are great and these devs and members make it what it is... but there is just so much going on in these threads it's hard to know what applies to you or not :D

Thanks!!!

DO NOT Odin stock 4.3 TW on your note 2, it will lock the boot loader permanently.

use Odin only to flash the "MJ9 Firmware", details in OP. coming from CM11, this step bootlooped my phone so be prepared. i had to start back at the beginning to fix this (Odin 4.12, use casual to unlock bootloader, use Odin to flash MJ9 firmware).

next step is to update your recovery (CWM or TWRP) to latest version available (required step for KitKat ROMs), now you can flash whatever ROM you want via recovery.

Yes and Read the op thoroughly and there is a new version being maintained, still looking for the link myself.

I've been having issues with every 4.4.2 rom I've tried so went back to 4.3. Everything that was wrong with 4.4.2 is gone when I flashed this. But now for some reason I've been getting my texts delayed all day and they would all come in at once at random times. Now I'm not getting them at all. Has anyone else ran into an issue like this?

I've stayed on 4.3 so far. I never installed and 4.4+ roms yet. But I have also been suffering for the past couple days of my "receiving text" being delayed. Idk what's causing it. Everything has been running perfect until just the other day. I haven't made any changes or anything. .. unexplainable!

Please shoot me a PM or anything if you ever figure out what the issue is. I'm going to downgrade back to Jellybean to see if that does anything

Are you using the older radio (baseband) file or the new one?
