Unfortunately the old Hyperdrive 4.4.4 forum was superseeded by this one. So I can't easily find the info. I wonder if the directions would be the same as other 4.4.4 ROMs for the international versions.Ok sorry it took so long but I just noticed your response.. As far as your questions go..
- Battery life on RLS4 for me anyway has been what I'd consider better than average overall, but that also doesn't mean you're going to necessarily have the same results either. It's always going to depend on your specific device and battery, what kind of apps you run, the kernel you decide to run, and basically how you use your phone in general. I stuck with the stock kernel and decided not to mess with OC or voltage control, and I'd say I'm a pretty hardcore user when it comes to my phone because I use it for practically everything all day every day. I also haven't messed with trying to optimize the battery (which I probably should) and I never use power saver and keep my screen pretty bright with bt and wifi always on and connected, and with that being said I've gotten good enough battery life not to complain anyway.
- The Edge functions exactly as it should and has never been wonky for me whatsoever, I use the TSF Shell 3D launcher and I haven't had any issues with the edge not working and I use it all of the time.
- As far as overheating goes.. I got my Note Edge on launch day and within the first few hours of having it (and before I even rooted it or installed anything) I noticed that it was getting ridiculously freakin hot, so I went back to the store where I got it and they just exchanged it out for a new one.. and luckily I've never had a problem with overheating since then (even when I did mess around with OC'ing it). So to me that makes me think a lot of the overheating problems people have with this phone is most likely hardware related, but you never know because every situation is different and to strictly answer your question I've never had overheating problems with RLS4
- As far as the install goes... I'm definitely not trying to be rude but I'd say to look for another Kitkat rom in these forums and then you should probably be able to just follow the same step by step instructions for it, because to be honest this rom has been so stable and it's been so long since I flashed it I can't even remember myself lol. I do know that I used CFAutoRoot for the stock firmware I was on at the time and I was running the latest TWRP recovery at the time, and then I flashed RLS4 along with the Kitkat SD card write fix through TWRP. So anyway it all just depends on what base you're on and whether you have a custom recovery or not, and I'm sorry I can't be more help at the moment but I'm sure you can find everything you need in these forums to get it rolling [emoji106].
So anyway hopefully that answers some of your questions at least (based on my experience anyway) and that you have a similar experience to what I've had with RLS4, because I've been modding phones (even way before Android came out) and flashing roms since the first Evo days and I'm not kidding... It's been the most rock solid rom (and it has a ton of customization options which is awesome) that I've EVER had on any phone. Idk maybe I'm just lucky and it happens to be a perfect combination for my specific device, but all I know is I couldn't be happier because it takes everything I throw at it and keeps on running smoothly! I seen some posts about overheating and getting stuck optimizing apps when doing a dalvik cache wipe and reboot. I am in this situation for the first time. I've rebooted multiple times over the past week and haven't had this problem. I have 330 apps and get to about 260 optimized before the battery gets hot and the phone stops optimizing. Is there a fix or workaround? Can I bypass this process when rebooting? I have also had a couple SOD situations and am concerned about this going forward as hyperdrive optimizes apps each time you reboot. Do most ROMS need to run through a similar app optimization process when clearing the cache and rebooting? I've read that this is not likely a Hyperdrive ROM issue, more likely a hardware issue with the Edge phone.Downloaded the latest release. I'm coming off hyperdrive on a note 3. Best rom I've ever used. Having a few issues with this one.
Using nova launcher prime. Seems to work well.
Phone shut down once. Had to do a battery pull. When booted back up, phone seemed to get hot and start draining the battery. Was on 4g lte at the time and browsing. Anyone else have this issue.
When I try to use the samsung lock screen option in tweaks, it crashes. Can't get to the menu options at all. I have to restart tweaks again.
Can't download any hyperdrive wallpapers. I like these and would like to know how to get them on my edge. I don't seem to be able to access the server when I try to download them.
Not clear on how to use Xposed. It was built into the kit kat rom. The links in this thread to the correct version of Xposed are dead. Can you point me to a working link for exposed?
Thanks and great work on this rom.
I like 5.1.1, i wish @sbreen add the other goodies in this RomWhich one do you guys prefer? Hyperdrive 4.4.4 or 5.1.1?

Sorry it took so long man I just saw your response but unfortunately I'm not going to be much help anyway, because I have no idea whether it'll work on the 915g or not (I have the 915t).roger that mate, any clue about my question? N915G
I haven't tried 5.1.1 so I can't comment on that one but I can say the 4.4.4 rom has been practically flawless for me, it's actually the reason I haven't tried 5.1.1 because it's just been so stable and smooth!Which one do you guys prefer? Hyperdrive 4.4.4 or 5.1.1?
Yeah, 4.4.4, 5.0.1, now this one, obviously, the later Roms are more stable cuz, he makes everything on those Roms, and this is in beta...Did you try 4.4.4

Have not tried it.. I'm not clear that all the edge functions would work on that rom. Sorry.Have your tried the TEKXodus HYBRID 5.1.1 ROM, how would you compare it to Hyperdrive 4.4.4 and 5.1.1?
Of course I wouldn't be asking these questions if I could easily switch between 5.1.1 and 4.4.4 but we cant
Nope, just flash it thru recovery...DO you need to extract the Zip file?

I have somewhat of a "tip" for anyone who tries out the 4.4.4 version of HyperDrive for the first time, and I'm not sure if this is just something caused by my setup or not but just thought I'd share it anyway in case it might help someone out..

I have flashed Hyperdrive 4.4.4. SO far so good, except my Gmail won't sync with my Google Account. I've tried wiping Gmail data, done cache reset, and removed and re-added my Gmail backup account. No successNope, just flash it thru recovery...
