4.4.4 was very stable. Liked it better.

Sorry it took so long man I just saw your response but unfortunately I'm not going to be much help anyway, because I have no idea whether it'll work on the 915g or not (I have the 915t).

I haven't tried 5.1.1 so I can't comment on that one but I can say the 4.4.4 rom has been practically flawless for me, it's actually the reason I haven't tried 5.1.1 because it's just been so stable and smooth!

Does anyone know how to remove this message pop up thing. It freezes and stays on my homescreen even when I have replied to the message and touching it opens a random selected app instead of the message app. I have to do a hot boot every other 5 mins because of it. Its irritating. Picture is attached below:

Wait you mean, you are using hangouts messaging app as your default messenger? What are the perks besides getting rid of that annoying popup.

Sharing Policy​

Do not use any parts of this rom without my explicit permission for each item you would like to use. Violators of this rule will be reported and dealt with by Forum Moderators​

1. You MUST READ Through the Entire first page of the Thread
2.You MUST be ROOTED
3. It is recommended to install with CWM Recovery (however TWRP should work fine)
4. You need to flash the latest firmware through ODIN (COK2) Version if you have any issues with the 5.1.1 builds. The rom will boot on older firmwares, but has some issues.

1. Download latest Hyperdrive Rom version
2. Reboot into Recovery
3. Wipe Data/Factory Reset
4. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
5. Install Rom
6. Reboot (First Boot may take up to 10 mins)
7. Let Phone sit for 10 minutes
8. Reboot again
9. Enjoy!

1. Details of what Happened before and after the issue
2. The exact steps which can be taken to reproduce the issue, so that i can reproduce the issue on my device.

A: A workaround you can use for now is to set root access to grant instead of prompt in the SuperSu application setting​

A: Flash the Bloat Zip in the Hyperdrive Hub addons section to gain this functionality back!​

Q:What is the format for setting the custom clock?
A: Use [H] for hours, [M] for minutes, and for seconds. Here are some examples for 2:07 (+ 5 seconds):

• HH:MM = 02:07
• HH:MM:SS = 02:07:05
• H:MM = 2:07
• HH = 02
• H = 2
• MM = 07
• M = 7
• SS = 05
• S = 5

A: This is the network traffic speed meter which tells you how much data is being used. It can be toggled on and off as well as color customized in Hyperdrive Tweaks/User Interface/Network traffic speed​

Q: I'm getting terrible Battery life and drain, what gives with this rom?

A: I would say that 99% of the time bad battery life is user error. You need to check your cpu settings and also check out your battery stats. If you have any wakelocking apps that are waking your phone, you will get drain. Having Issues with Battery life or your Battery isn't where you want it to be. Please Read THIS Nice Summary Here ​

Q: Wifi Connectivity Problems?

A: Make sure Wifi is set to always keep wifi on during sleep under wifi settings/advanced. To make wifi work when it wont turn on or connect, change this in the build.prop:
ro.securestorage.support=true TO ro.securestorage.support=false​

The wake up function of the edge panel night clock dont works, it means if you wiping the edge panel night clock from left to right it wake up and show notifications, and no works.

mm!! I think got the answer for the problem, its the emotion kernel the problem, i'll try other kernel fo fix the problem., whit the original dpi kernel the night clock wake up feature works well.

I decided to avoid install the emotion kernel and root my N915T without change the original stock kernel, i prefer full functions in stock room. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64161125&postcount=3 , I used SuperSU 2.61 from that, load TWRP recovery via ODIN and then load the SuperSU 2.61 via TWRP and thats all!! root without a custom kernell, full stock functions

I deal with sleep of death often. I also have the phone completely lock up with the screen on. Only fix is a battery pull. Can't even hold the power key down to have it reboot.

You can use L Speed from Playstore and activate the Kernel Sleeper option, i have 2 days without one SoD...

I've been using L speed for just over a week. It has significantly reduced the number of sod issues I'm having. They still do happen. I haven't enabled any other options in L speed other than the kernal sleeper option. Thanks.

Touchwiz Launcher Crashed; Unstable Hyperdrive 4.4.4

I've been running the HyperDrive 4.4.4 RLS4 Rom since it first came out and it's literally been the most rock solid rom I've ever had, so with all of the problems I heard people were having I never made the jump to Lollipop because I just refused to lose the stability. I've still got a copy of the HyperDrive 4.4.4 RLS4 rom and I wouldn't mind sharing it if anyone wants it, I just need some suggestions on the best way to share it because the last time I tried using my Dropbox account it got suspended. Anyway if anyone wants a copy and has any suggestions on what I should use to share it just let me know and I will. Thanks

It's kind of crazy to hear you're having all of those problems because I'm still rocking RLS4 and it's still nothing but smooth sailing here for me, but I also don't ever use the Gmail app because my main email is completely separate from my Gmail account. I still get my email notifications for my Gmail account but it's through a different app I've always used called Aqua Mail (I seriously don't know what I'd do without it anymore lol), and I can't remember the last time I updated the actual Gmail app but I know it wasn't longer than about a month ago because that's when I did a complete wipe and started fresh again with RLS4 (because it had been over a year since I first flashed it so it was time for a refresh). Anyway after I saw your post I went and checked and it shows I have an update available for my Gmail app, so after I make sure I've got everything backed up first I'll try updating it and see if I wind up having the same problem. Yeah that would really help. Can you also check if you have any issues with Google Maps (freezing at start up) and Briefing panel (flipboard edge panel extension) and the NOte Edge version not using the panel?

Ok I can just tell ya right away I use Google Maps almost daily and I've never had an issue with it freezing at startup or while doing anything else with it for that matter, and I just tried the flipboard app by itself along with the flipboard edge panel (and turned on it's information feed) and for now everything seems to work exactly as it should without any issues. I'm almost done backing everything up and as soon as I am I'll update my Google app and then recheck everything to see if I can duplicate your problems, but either way I'll let ya know as soon as I'm done. Also just out of curiosity have you tried downloading anything while using a browser like Chrome, Firefox, Dolphin, or even the stock browser yet? If not open one of those browsers and go to google dot com and try saving a picture to the default download folder to see what happens, and if it fails to download let me know because if it does then I might know what's causing your problem.

Edit: Ok so yeah I hate to say it unfortunately but I just managed to duplicate most of your problems (except Maps still works fine), so if anything at least you're not losing your marbles anyway lol. As soon as I updated Briefing I lost the Flip Board Edge panel and the Information stream (but the Flip Board app itself still works fine thiugh), and then as soon as I updated the Gmail app I was no longer able to sign in to get my Gmail. I even tried removing my account and adding it again with no luck, and I guess I'm just lucky because I never used it anyway and I checked my Aqua Mail and it was still able to sync my Gmail just fine. So anyway yeah that's pretty effed up because it looks like they're ramping up their efforts to abandon us Note Edge adopters, and what gets me is I didn't see a single complaint about us getting shafted from anyone in the reviews for either app on Play (and I can say with certainty that's going to be changing here shortly lol). Sorry man I'll look into it some more whenever I get more time and I'll let ya know if I ever figure anything out, but it's looking like Samsung and Google just decided to treat us all to a free ride on their "bone rollercoaster" lol.. bastards.
