Robbie,

I am using XXLSC which is using preload for system apps. I want the ink effect. Can i simple replace files in preload that are required in system. Will that work?

I'm using an Odexed ROM and have a preload partition. Would it work if I replace all files manually/set permissions and delete coresponding .odex files? I tried and it boot looped. I'm gonna restore a back up I made but I will try again maybe I missed a file or something. Just wanted to confirm whether there's anything else that should be done? :)

Edit: most of the files were in /system while SecSettings.apk was in /preload/symlink. I replaced them accordingly.

Edit: Nevermind, I deodexed the ROM and flashed the mod and it works! Thanks! :)

Yeah stop playing :D

No but its not smart to modify that since its a safety when the screen is turned on in yuor pocke or something.
Screen turns off by itself so it saves battery
