Been doing some work on Ice Cream Sandwich for the A500. It's still a huge work in progress but it is starting to work.



Things working and in the ROM:
Touch screen (Thank you again RaYmAn)
WiFi.
Bluetooth.
Live Wallpaper
ICS Bootanimation from JaeKar99
Root Browser (free version) from jrummy
Superuser from ChainsDD
Sound

Things not working yet:
Google Talk
Calendar Sync
Video
Task Switcher
Still has green overlay (shut off transitions to minimize this)
Bunch of other stuff.

Please realize that AcerCream has multiple issues and is nowhere near ready for everyday use.

Update 11-29-11:
Still working on the freaking wifi (even while at work :-o). Hoping to get it at some point. Not sure what I'm doing wrong yet.

WiFi is now working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What? How are you so sure? It's not possible, thay can't just remove such an important feature. True adobe has stoped developing flash for mobile devices but they can't remove the existing feature!

Not sure yet as WiFi is not working. Hopefully, that will work soon.

Hmm...does that mean that even the current flash .apk file can't be side loaded on there and work?

I've got ICS running on my Samsung Fascinate. I will have to try this out and see if Flash still works.

Honestly though, over the past year, it's really evident that everyone is moving their video away from flash on over to HTML 5. It's amazing how many sites now have made the transition. Adobe did the right thing and waved the white flag of surrender. It's good they are getting out of the way of innovation.

So no love lost for me on Flash.

I am really enjoying ICS on my Fascinate. There are so many little suddle, yet significant, things in there that really make it great. Hands down, ICS is the king of Mobile OSes.
