For those who havnt heard of it: I have never been a big ICS fan. I loved the look of it (im a sucker for blue), but I always found its functionality/performance to be inferior to GB. Ive tried all of the major ICS roms, and I ended up reverting back to CM7 everytime almost immediately. Then I came across Chimera, and WOWWWW!! aside from all of the bells, whistles, and extra goodies, I found it to be great under the hood as well, which is most important to me. As close to GB/CM7 as you can get. So for all the ICS fans who have not checked it out, I strongly suggest you give it a whirl...and this is coming from one of the biggest critics of ICS (at least for the vibrant)

Now, for those who are using it/have used it, i have two questions:

1. Were you able to get any sort of BLN working on it (either native or third party)?
2. What kernels did you try, and which did you find to maximize your experience and why?

The forum thread (at least on their website) is fairly young and theres not much useful info at all yet (if any).

Nice
I tried Chimera for 2 days and my phone didn't like it...i also couldn't figure out how to enable BLN notifications and i had several SoD...you will have probably some kind of support on their FB page if everybody is in good mood...however is a nice rom but feels like still needs something

Well BLN functionality is dictated by the kernel. This ROM is described as a hybrid of aokp/cm9, but mostly aokp. so i was hoping the CM9's native BLN would have been incoporporated into the Heart kernel, but sadly it wasnt. nor was third party BLN support.

I initially installed Heart, because that waswhat is recommended. For the hell of it i installed Subzero, and i was able to get the third party BLN running on that, but video streaming for me was HORRIBLE on Subzero. Thats a deal-breaker, id much rather have no BLN than no video stream...thanks for playing, Subzero.

ill rock this puppy for a few weeks unless i run into major issues, see if any good updates are released. the ROM does need work, but its damn good for only being version 1.1. it is still young!

Have you tried installing the FATMEM 720p Video Fix for subzero kernel? My youtube app would force close for every video and netflix refused to play until I installed this. Now they both work fine.
