A couple of questions (Regarding 3rd party Pro Controllers and other devices)

Hello, I'm using a Nyko Wireless Core controller, which is a clone of the Pro Controller.

I cannot get it to work in menus nor in games, but on Horizon, it works fine.

I also have a USB audio DAC to plug into my TV for audio, because I use an HDMI to DVI cable to plug my Switch into it.

That does not work either, the audio just comes from the Switch console itself.

Is there a way I can get either working?

To get the audio to work just change the volume on the switch itself when docked its a known issue. About the controller check playstore for control remap apps.

Edit for usb audio DAC not sure. Could be that its using the hdmi as audio, try to flash viper4android in magisk not recomended but you can try.

I'll probably just get an HDMI to Component adapter for this TV.
