A Couple Q's About WiFi and Root

I have a 955U model with Verizon. Occasionally it will drop the wifi connection and immediately reconnect. Is that a software issue or do I need to reconfigure my router or phone settings? The other is somehow I'm able to view root files in Solid Explorer. Is that normal? I've had updates disabled since I first received in in hopes of a BL unlock or root. Apologies if these are dumb question. Thank you.

I've seen reports of wifi dropping but my T-Mobile variant hasn't dropped once yet and I've been using it since the 19th. The root files your seeing are not "root" as in rooting files. They are just files in the root directory of your device.
