Glad I just found this, curious what's your rating on the thermal design quality of this phone? Was thinking about picking one up for $699

It gets really hot when using Duo/Meet, when in desktop mode connected to a 4K display and when playing intensive games at high framerates (Minecraft at 90fps maxed out for me). But it doesn't seem to throttle at all. Summer is it's worse enemy when it comes to heat because it makes the temperature peaks higher. Othere than that I never had it heat up in my pocket or while doing any other normal thing like messaging, calling, watching videos, taking photos/videos.

Months late, but I have it in a Spigen case and never notice it even getting real warm. I mostly play strategy games... Works like a charm and the snapdragon is speedy when it comes to intensive things.
